I got married yesterday!
by Gadget ini've been posting on here for four years now, and so much has changed in my life.
everything seemed to be going wrong then, but time has done wonders and things are real good now.
lots of people on the board helped and supported me through that, as well as new non-witness friends that i made.

My first and hopefully last vent on JWD
by nvrgnbk ini was talking to my trying-to-exit-the-cult fraternal twin brother yesterday about life, the jehovah's witness cult, and our jw parents.. he repeated, calmly and succintly, that he hates our parents.
i could not argue with him.
i used to, being a parent myself.

Always remember that the issues are your parents and not yours. You are in no way to blame for their unkind, selfish, self-centered behavior. They were this way before you were born. Some people should no be parents...period.
Be proud of yourself, abusive behavior is generational....you have decided to break this cycle by seperating yourself from not only controlling parents, but a controlling religion. Your child has a wonderful future ahead of him. Vent away we are all here for you.

I had not heard the story until now. I am crying just reading what this child endured by her mother. My heart goes out to Mario, and his other daughter. I am sure this is difficult for her too. I hope that she has had therapy to deal with what she experienced and witnessed. I am sooooooooooooo sorry for them all.

Mouthy's Birthday Party
by truthsearcher inhey guys, i went to the party this afternoon, and mouthy wanted me to post about it and let you know that she is really busy with company right now, but will post again sometime soon.. anyway, mouthy's party was lots of fun--almost everyone there were ex-jws.
i really enjoyed meeting them and talking about their experiences.
they all had their eyes opened in different ways--for some it was a gradual awakening, for others it was a sudden unexpected scripture verse and bingo, the blinders were off!

Sometimes I feel unwanted

sometimes i feel really out of the loop in the xjw world.
i have tried every way in the world to help people.

For many of us Junction Guy is that we have tried to move on with living. I think that if we have to always talk about the JW's and the JW world doesn't it still have control of us?
For myself, I have turned my need to help by working for an agency that helps. I can't do it alone, so joining others that have more clout is better. Also, having only a few to do the work is typical in this world. It isn't only XJW's, it is the true of many causes.
I hope the best for you in all things...I happen to think you are a great person and always enjoy reading your posts.

What can I possibly do..........
by passive suicide ini am at a loss.
i've finally realized what my heart has been questioning for many years...'the truth', quite possibly/probably...is not.
meanwhile..........i have a wife, and child........both of which are firmly in the grasp of my former beliefs.

Welcome PS...take it one step at a time. Give yourself time for the "truth" to sink in. It took years to be brainwashed...it takes time to wash your brain clean.
