  in the 1979 movie, "the china syndrome" there is a scene right after swat team members have retaken the control room from jack godell.

  (jack lemon) kimberly wells (jane fonda) nervously whispers to richard adams, (michael douglas) "the reactor is the biggest bomb in there!

  this reflected a belief, common in the 1970's that commercial nuclear reactors were capable of going up in a mushroom cloud like an atomic bomb.. although no one can deny that accidents and malfunctions at nuclear power plants can potentially be catastrophic, these reactors are not capable of a bomb-like reaction.

  i haven't posted for a while because of poor health and a shattered elbow.

  i have limited movement but i am now back at work and doing ok.. missed all of ya.

  i am now seeing another doc and hope something can be done for my arm.

  once i started continuously reading how the organization and watchtower writings were bogus, i couldn't help but get out!

  I was already out before I found out the truth about the "truth." If it was not for the internet and sites like this, I am sure I would have tried to return, or lived with tremendous guilt about leaving, that would have clouded the rest of my life. Thank the Lord for sites like these. The internet just reaffirmed my leaving.

  I also like the looks of celtic crosses....they are beautiful. I have no problem wearing them. I felt funny at first, but I don't care what my family thinks now.

  I received a package from my mother today

  my dub mother sent me a package today, inside was a nwt bible, a picture of me around age 5 at an assembly - i looked miserable and my dad was holding a battery operated fan in front of me, and a letter, here is the letter.

  i ask that you remember that i was 18 when i left and i'm now 42, that there is a total of 8 children in my family and there are only 2 that are still jw's, oh and that my mother is a complete nutcase!

  As a mother I am completely outraged. She is no mother, she was a oven...nothing more then that. I am glad she can no longer hurt you, I have to say it hurt me to read what she wrote.

  Thank goodness you got away from her insanity. Just reading that crap I am so thankful that I got my kids out of that hateful way of thinking. I think at this point I would tell her to shove that NWT where the light don't shine.

  If she is that ashamed to give birth to something so awful, then this something so awful's money, time, care, love will be no longer given to her.

  Just know that we are here for you.
