Are you kidding?
Shed light on this.
You are trying to fit God into your physical mind, it will not work. If you think God can fit into your mind you have greatly overestimated its potiential.
I respect that your question is sincere.
I do not believe that what you are attempting is possible.
You can develope a feel for the concept of the Holy Trinity but even a Catholic Priest will tell you it is not within your grasp to totally understand the nature of God.
What could you program into your mind that would reflect even a small portion of the reality of the source of all Light in the universe?
The concept of the trinity is designed to get your mind to shut down or immobilize long enough to actually expierence something greater then itself. Pondering it and seeking it will bring it closer to your expierence. Touching the Light will bring a knowing a joy and a love such as you have never know in the physical, but the mind will never understand it while it is engaged in chugging such concepts.
The quotes you are reading are men attempting to describe the expierence. When you expierence it yourself thier words will make more sense.
Good Luck

Trinty
by encourager inhey i've been reading the magazine "should you believe in the trinity" - very well laid out and i know its been around for years.. i'm struggling with this whole issue and have looked at some of the quotes and they don't seem to match the actual quotes of the early church fathers.
mainly the one by tertullian which reads as follows from the magazine.
tertullian, who died about 230 c.e., taught the supremacy of god.

Jehovah's Witnesses-Who Are They?
by Mister Biggs intaken directly from watchtower.org.. i invite all to highlight any contradictions you may find.. happy reading.... "jehovah's witnesses are interested in you and your welfare.
they want to be your friends and to tell you more about themselves, their beliefs, their organization, and how they feel about people and the world in which all of us live.
to accomplish this, they have prepared this brochure for you.. "in most ways jehovah's witnesses are like everyone else.

"Let God be found true, though every man be found a liar."
Lets see which men are liars? All of them? Hmmmmmm
They claim that Jesus was a man do they not?
Were the apostles men?
Are the GB men? With all these liars, how can you find truth?
Go directly to God, ask for the Holy Spirit yourself!
But wait, I am a liar too.
Gee things don't look too good here now do they!So much for being "in the truth"
This really exposes the illusion of being here in a physical mind.
Nothing that can be contained within our physical minds is really true, it is but a model of what we believe truth to be that we have programmed into our brain. The model in our brain is not real, therefore everything we know is merely EGO.Wow!

Post Resurection for the bored Fundies
by unclebruce inthe times in which jesus lived are well documented.
we know a lot about the historical context of the world in which he lived.
this knowledge is not a matter of personal belief but of historical fact.

Bravo, uncle bruce!
I love it!
I knew of a couple of them, I knew that the Greeks had a story of the virgin birth, but not that it was so previlent with others as well.
Maybe the question isn't which one is true, maybe the question is why do we need to have these beliefs. What does it accomplish for humans to have beliefs like these.
The Christian faith acomplished one thing very well. It gave the Jews a way to shed thier guilt without having to continually slaughter animals for thier sins anymore. It gave people the ability to feel acceptable and loved even though they are not perfect.
It has never been clear to me why God would demand that his perfect Son be killed to attone for our sins. The Christian God is a God of human sacrifice, but at least it states that only one was needed for all time, putting an end to human and animal sacrifice, a definite evolutionary and social jump upwards toward freedom.
Compaired to what was done before this I see it as an improvement to the human condition.
Maybe the evolution of Religion is not really for Gods purpose but is truly for ours. As God already knows all things and is all powerfull why would he need us to worship him at all? I do not believe that God needs any vengence at all, who could ever hurt him, he has nothing to fear. Only man has fear, so man needs these beliefs to conquer his fear and get to a place of love. -

I think we all get bitter if we dwell on the things that we have no control or choice about.
I get more bitter every year that my older brother and his family shunn and ignore me. But I really have no control over this, so now and again I must force myself to look for other magical things in life. The things that light me up and renew my Spirit. If we spend our efforts seeking the things that our soul is crying out for, we light up and become vibrant and loving. Life is exciting when we embrace our freedom with curiosity and responsibility.
For me bitterness comes in cycles, then it passes for other things in life, then returns. Each time around it changes. This last cycle I truly believed that I could somehow change the JW's by speaking out, but finally I am at a total loss and have given up trying. In the giving it up I have felt a great release. Finally I just have to realize that it is not my responsibility to change these things. But I can still speak out with my story, and my expierences, that is all anyone can do really. The world will change very slowly as it has for thousands of years, but each person can change very quickly when they decide it is time. -

Incredible Ignorance
by Norm inthere is nothing considered as evil and abominable as whatever considered as such.
it is therefore a remarkable fact that the watchtower society itself is guilty of teaching babylonian ideas.
let us look at one such well-documented fact where the society for 15 years, from 1971 until 1986, heralded babylonian ideas as the truth: .

Norm, good points. I notice your article states the JW's yo-yo view and also the Babalonian and the medical views, but what do you believe? Have you ever felt anything from your heart, where would point to in your body as the source of the sensation when you feel love for someone?

Nice work aChristian.
You have seen the true meaning of the scripture, but can you now stretch one step further and see the universality of soul. If we are spirits inhabiting bodies of flesh then isn't it possible that we are actually beings of Light that awaken when we die? Planning which bodies we will incarnate in, which Religions we will follow while here, and what expierences we will have each time we come down here?
There are many Religions each as perfect as the Christian one, and within each is just as good an explanition for what we are. Do you only see the one viewpoint, that followers of Jesus have recieved?
Did you know that thier are other true believers of other paths that connect people with the Holy Spirit also?
I have a great respect for Christians, up to the point where they state that they have exclusive ownership of the heavens. -

And nytelecom1, how can you know that "I will be happy to know" that they have done that. Actually I do know that a psychic and spiritual medium was the one who did it. His name was Greeber I think. He was a seeier and a spiritual medium, and we all know what the JW's say about those kind of people do we not!
He is the one who came up with that translation of the Bible. Was he inspired of God when he did that. This is the question, is it not!
You state that "I will be happy" to see it this way. This is a deceptive way to inadvertantly plant facts in my subconscous mind, and then link it to happiness.
It will not work with me, I am wise to this technique.Sincerely,
David L
Well that was pretty good, you had me going there, mr porno man, I checked out yer home page url, now that is really an eye popper!

New Light On Blood
by freeman inin order for meat to be blood free, as the jews and the early christians would have understood it, one has to cut the neck of the animal and let its heart pump the blood out.
not hit it over the head like they do in the slaughterhouses today.
also you have to remove the veins and arteries starting at the neck working down.

libra_spirit
Jesus said, "do not worry about the meat you buy in a meatmarket" did he not?
The Jews are still worrying. When you shoot a deer, you may as well just gut him out. By the time you get to him his heart has stopped for sure. You cut the throat and nothing comes out anyway. All the blood is setting inside where it stopped. Most meat you buy at the store is still dripping blood, it would take extreme measures to remove it all.
