The Law of Unintended Consequences
by Londo111 inthe governing body/watchtower unduly influences millions into extreme beliefs and behaviors.
and i suspect folks like anthony morris thinks his flock is not obedient or strict enough and there are many rules and teachings the governing body would love to enact but do not have the votes, or even they have the sense enough to know it would go too far.
however, i can’t help how by the time their edicts filter down to the rank and file jw, it causes unintended consequences.

First mistake is thinking the GB have a flock.
Second, is thinking any sheep roaming about belong to them.
That's the problem. People thinking hired workers are actually the CEO.

Jonah's success, J-dubs failure in preaching.
by Darkknight757 in3:1 then the word of the lord came to jonah a second time: 2 “go to the great city of nineveh and proclaim to it the message i give you.”3 jonah obeyed the word of the lord and went to nineveh.
now nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it.
4 jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “forty more days and nineveh will be overthrown.” 5 the ninevites believed god.

JWs aren't failures. Seriously. Everyone knows who they are and not to answer the door.
Not sure why we should equate the everyday publisher with a Prophet and Apostles.
All those "preaching" instructions and proclamations are for the "annointed". Run of the mill publishers aren't under any obligations to preach since none of the NT applies to them, per WTBTS.
Jonah got sucked up because he was upset that God didn't kill everyone in Nineveh. Kinda like a mean Elder, Jonah wanted the Ninevehvites disfellowshipped despite repentance. Lol

Muslims know of Christ. They believe he was the great prophet sent to the Jews (to whom the Jews didn't listen). -

So we need to preach by phone, letter writing Monday nights, go out during the week, saturday mornings and afternoon, sunday afternoon blah blah blah. Never once commended the cong. but ended the talk with don't we want to be called "good and faithful slave"?
Lol!!!!!! Someone should tell that fellow, no one can earn their way to salvation. With man, WTBTS, or the GB its not possible. Also, returning to places where it's evident no one is interested in being bothered with you is dumb. Vomit returners.
And fisherman don't go out at night. Early morning yes, but night, no. -

Break a promise okay with watchtower?
by punkofnice in15:4. unless we come to the realization that we have made an unscriptural promise, we should do all we can to fulfill our word, even if it is very difficult to do so.
w06 5/15 p. 17-p. 20 par.
16. highlights from book one of psalms.

An unscriptual promise is telling people if they hang out with only you following your crazy unscriptual rules, they can make it into a paradise earth.

The problem with some people is they aren't satisfied with living their lives, they want to live yours too.
Don't allow it, live your own life and raise your own family. The parents have already had their turn, it's your turn now.
Leave so you can have peace to raise your kids.

Everyone is Equal in God's Loving Organization
by new boy inthey said we are all the same in god’s eyes.
that everyone is equal.
to prove this they call everyone “brother and sister.” sadly, this really isn’t the case.

Lol, Peony, he did for a time. Then you read where, "they've all left me". Too needy in prison, I suppose. (Could someone leave home, travel 500 miles to bring me a pen and paper?) Particularly when everyone else's families were being killed or fed to lions at the time. -

I find Christ quite simple and non confusing. No stupid rules, no intrusion into every minute detail of one's life, love God, do good to others. How hard is that?
I find Christian groups to be a bunch of fools when claiming their way is the only true and right way. Rules out the behind, judgement of everyone of another group, hostile and plain mean sometimes. Certain points in history, outright murderous.
Christ had "a way", not you ... and we can read about it for ourselves.
With most organized religions it's about having power over others. Christianity today is no different. So yeah, confusion galore.

Yeah, we know. Its a big lie. Nothing new with organized religion, it's been that way since the originals died and Western nations got a hold of it; it was made in the form of their societies, hierarchical.
Try pulling a Paul with the JW GB ... It would be the fastest exit from a building in human history.
