I don't think the GB have "suffered" like those of the 1st Century. & the GB has too cushy a life to have ever "suffered "anything. [Well maybe the batteries dying in the remote control.]
Now those folks over in various African countries whose villages get wiped out at machete blade (or imprisoned) for refusing to deny Christ ... those folks know the true suffering. Some Asian countries also & definitely some ME countries.
In Western countries, folks have no idea what true suffering for refusing to deny Christ is about; specially not the US.

Dubs - Paradoxes From Hell
by Farkel indubs - paradoxes from hell.
jesus said his yoke was kindly and light.. dubs brag their religion is the "hardest religion in the world.".
the bible tells children to honor their parents.. the wts tells children to betray their parents.. if dubs really live in a "spiritual paradise," why do their lives have to be threatened to stay in it?.

My answer
Just read John 11-12 ... the high priests were intending to kill Lazarus but too many in the village (probably the entire village) plus Jews who went there to console the sisters had witnessed what happened for the event to be questioned.

Most Annoying Things That Happen At JW Meetings
by LittleSister intoday i was remembering how angry i used to get at the meetings and all the little irritations that in the end would just make my blood boil these included:.
prayers that go on foreverstudy or wt conductors still taking comments when its clear that the point has been covered 20 times alreadymeetings over running by more than 5 minsmy favourite was this one elder who would play guess the point i am thinking of.
he would keep rephrasing the question from the wt until someone would bring up the point he was thinking of.

wha happened?
That is also a biggie after actually reading the Bible and looking at the /apostles/disciples/elders therein position toward everyone else.
The real and early Christian stance is quite different than the JW stance.

If there is a God, is he an atheist?
by DT inof course, any god would believe in himself, but would he believe in someone greater than himself?
would he postulate an external cause for the realm in which he lives?
you might expect that a hypothetical god would be all knowing, so he would know if there is another greater god, but he couldn't know if there is another realm that he doesn't and can't know about.

God is God and according to the Bible has one mediator (his son) that he thought well of & appointed to such a position ... the men who want to be mediator are in the way & false. They didn't die for anyone's sins & they go against the arrangements. They're useless and not appointed to be in such a position.

Using the Quaker term "friends" to death.
People with lively manners speaking in a borish monotone. Leading one to belive the worship of God and acknowledgement of Jesus sacrifice is supposed to be boring.
Brothers talking "at" everyone instead of "to" everyone.
Speaking in third person like one is having an out of body experience.
Taking scriptures totally out of context or leaving off the most important parts.

2010 - Year of the Governing Body?
by lepermessiah inlet me explain by what i am getting at without sounding like captain obvious!
i am actually excited about this since i think this could help assist a ton of people out of this organization!!.
i believe that the governing body is stepping up efforts to emphasize their unconditional rulership - every wt study article seems to make reference to their authority.

Any human 'rulership' is Satanic according to the Bible. Even by their own standards the rulership will be in heaven, not on earth.
Those teaching differently are from Satan.
