I don't know about everyone else here, but that's a very nice coffee pot in the bunker video.

The last video in the 2016 convention...
by problemaddict 2 in...is an epic triumph is emotional manipulation.
bringing together all of the stories they told thus far and placing them int he "new world" complete with the little boy who was killed in a car accident coming back from the dead.. i have a good friend who is stuck in with family and plays the role.
he said everyone was crying, and the people next to him rated the videos by how many tissues they needed to dry their eyes.

I'm eagerly awaiting a short movie on that Jesus fellow the NT keeps mentioning.

'Kingdom of God's birth in heaven in 1914' - first reference?
by EdenOne incan someone tell me please when was the first time that the wts published something to the effect that the kingdom of god was born in heavens in 1914 / jesus enthroned invisibly in 1914 ?
i see an obscure reference to an article in a golden age magazine in 1930 but i can't find the actual quote,.
not looking for quotes that talk about the "coming" or "presence" since 1914. i'm looking for actual mention that the kingdom started in heavens in 1914. when was the first ever time this was clearly said in the publications?

Those issues from the link are chock full of the crazy. However, everyone (if you flip a page or so) will be happy to know that the big A is not fought between men or even angels and men. It is the fight between the two angelic sides.
Ok, continue your search.
The info you are looking for is likely in the Finished Mystery which contains 100 or so "prophesies". 1914 was originally the date for Armegeddon, not the enthronement. But after the whole 1870's debacle(s) .....

The battle lines are being drawn
by hillfy333 inwith the new rc conventions making their rounds, much has been leaked in regards to their loyalty videos.
disturbing is the ramping up of hatred and shunning towards those who have faded, especially if such ones according to the watchtower are living in sin, but have not been found guilty as yet by the judicial process.
certainly of the criteria of guilt, is talking against the gb, which i personally come under.

Therein lies the real problem Billy, no one is paying any attention at regular meetings let alone conventions. It's too boring, intentionally I think. Humans aren't hardwired to sit through hours of lecture with no interactions. No one learns anything in such a manner. No matter the size, you can't ask any questions so you sit there ... just being.
You miss a lot of the crazy being said simply because you've tuned the speakers out and have moved over to internal thoughts (about your legs going to sleep, willing yourself to keep your eyes open, the chair hurts, is it lunch break yet .... toilet run, daydreaming etc)
People remember and like the dramas because of the interactions, it entails more than a guy standing at the podium lecturing.

Exactly how are they proposing to stop anyone from doing what they believe is a commandment from God? I mean seriously.
It's not dress only, if a brother is deemed 'efeminate' ... who's making thesender determinations on what is efeminate or butch? The guys still stuck in the 1950s?

Lurking JWs: Do people really need to know and use the word "Jehovah" or other language equivalents, to truly know God?
by Island Man inwatchtower puts forth the argument that you can't really know god unless you know and use the appellation "jehovah" or its equivalent in other languages.
is this really true?
i say it's not true and i will demonstrate to you why.. god's name is not a mere label that we have to use to communicate with him so that he knows we're talking to him.

Not a lurker but, no. One only needs to ask oneself:
Did Christ or his disciples run around using "Jehovah" all willy nilly? Or did they, like all Hebrews of their time use "heavenly Father"? (Something sacred isn't for every day use.)
Was that the name given to all through which we must get saved or something?
In what name did the Apostles and disciples heal and expel demons?
What name were they threatened about using?
What name were the early Christians proclaiming throughout their world?
Who the hell calls their father by his first name except disrespectful children?
Also, that name "Jehovah" isn't even correct. There are no "j's" in any branch of Syriac languages. It's like you continuously calling someone named Frank, Stanley. How annoying is that for Frank?
Just because you'd like to say his name that way does not make it his name. That has got to be ever soooo annoying.
