  J-Dub Gossip: How Do/Did You Handle It?

  perhaps the biggest fear i have of leaving is the ensuing gossip that will follow.

  i know it's stupid to worry about what will be said about me once i'm "out," but it kills me inside.

  of course, that doesn't mean that i don't already deal with my fair share of gossip as it is while still "in.

  i can't see myself not attending.

  i do understand not being sure and also not wanting to make waves because of the kids and the exes finding something else to use against you guys. so if you do decide to go be strong get in and out quickly go home and have a stiff drink, and we'll all be here for you guys. those of us that do will pray for you(i will)

  gasp! is it 1975 again. almost as bad as good ole' freddy's long winded speeches about not saying anything specific but i'm specificly saying . you know what i think;it sounds great. a better world, picnics,pet pandas, and lions, no bills, theocratic social control , equality fairness. but if and when it does come i think the 1st will be last and the last will be 1st. so if the dubs count us last ( and you know we are really descent poeple here 90%) and they count themselves 1st.who knows the big guy upstairs might tell them "get away from me you workers of lawlessness , i never knew you". if it is coming soon i gotta save to do another 2 weeks at disney world, and this time i will do everything there even if it kills me ( well not literally kills me but you all know what i mean?

  i was born in the 70's and my jw mother spanked us a lot... actually, beat us is more accurate.

  i know of other people from the same generation (lol!

  ) and it seemed to be somewhat common during that time period within the organization.. i also remember wearing a lot of second hand clothing and having pretty dismal school lunches and we were simply not allowed to ask for anything - needs or wants.

  me too very similar to headspinner . i spoil when i can now and dont hit. but time has helped me not to worry so much beyond that. i love my son i respect myself and him. i see him as a human, he is a child and will be an adult . i enjoy our time now and the kid's stuff too.i talk to him i share things with him and he shares with me. we sometimes get short with each other but we work it out. he knows i have to make the big decisions but he has choices of his own and i dont change them. i tell him my feeling he tells me his eventually. and its working he's an awesome kid the best nicest bravest most honest most honorable person i know and i might add it is a priviledge to be there with him as he discovers it all.
