That was one of the things I was upset about while a witness, but on the receiving end. Ooooooooooh babe yeah!

the first survey i asked how you were brought into the non-truth.

my next survey is along the same line, however what i would like to find out is on the average how many hours you spent in the field service and were you ever able to bring anyone into the non-truth via field service or via incidental witnessing.. and how long you were associated with the borg?.

Well, It took me three long years to get baptised. I was a fence sitter ya know. LOL Baptized for three also but if you count the times that I back slid so to speak, might have been one year. I did bring a friend of mine in that religion and truly regret it now. I averaged 8 to ten hours a month in field service.

I just found out that a jw i know here in Fuquay has been accused of child molestation. His step son told Tonya(a friend of mine) about it tonight. I will see if I find anything about it in the N&O and the Fuquay paper, and then make a copy and paste it here.

any one here get that sinking feeling when you were an active jw?

i'm not talking about the point where we developed doubts about the borg, but just the shear weight of responsibility on your shoulders to uphold "god's kingdom" ala wts.. the topic of doing all you can was brought up frequently.

some would try to sooth by saying "as long as you're doing your best, jehovah will accept you.

I know exactly what you mean. When I was a witness, I worked a full time job. I sometimes didn't get home until 6:30pm, had to take a shower get my three children dressed for the meeting, drive thirty minutes to the kingdom hall. Went to evey meeting, did field service on the weekend, and was still told that I sould be trying harder.

With three kids being a single parent, that is impossible. I always felt that they felt I was bad association reguardless of how hard I tried. I feel at ease now knowing that it's all over and I can live a normal life now.

howdee all!.

i have only recently been df'd, so i struggle with what i believe regarding god and the bible.

as you all would know, its a long process reprogramming our minds from all the lies and shit we were taught by the organisation.

Hi Tesha,

I really do not think that God would destroy a person for not knocking on peoples doors. We show our works by our faith.

Anyone who tells you that you are not good enough to survive Armageddon, only because you miss a few meeting or a few field services, is judging you, and the Bible says if we judge someone that we are judging ourself.

As long as we put faith in God and Jesus Christ and believe that he was sent forth to die for our sins, we will be saved. So don't let anyone tell you different.

We do not need to belong to a religion that is man made. They will all be brought to an end.

Being a Christian is something personal between God and the individual. We do not need that any man teach us. 1st Jonh 2:27

Questions on the "Stand Firm" Video

my wife and i are being bullied by my mother and mother-in-law into watching the "wonderful" new video "stand firm" i have been trying to research the controversy behind this issue but have not been able to clearly see what this is all about in a nutshell.

does anyone have any reliable information on this?

would be interesting to have some background on this topic before listening to the official wt spin
