  Hi Dave,

  I would first like to say.......I wish my father were as you are. My life might have been different in so many ways. (No, you are not old enough to be my father)

  As far as the others here on the forum. Each and everyone of us have our good points and bad.

  I look at Farkel and Comf as the fatherly types and dare not speak against their wisdom. I have learned a great deal from them.

  Kent and JanH, I look up to as older brothers, but we all know that sisters and brothers never seem to see things eye to eye on everything.

  Mulan, I respect deeply and wish she lived closer so I could get to know here better. She is a wonderful mother.

  Tina, Prisca, and the other girls are like the sisters here on the forum. They always have good advise but, you know how sisters can be. They love the hell out of their siblings but you better not piss them off or else. LOL

  Last but not least, Shelby........She does have a big heart. I just think she is so happy with what she believes in that she wants to spread it around but is so passionate about it that she doesnt stop the think that the way she goes about it just scares people off. I can not judge her. If she really is hearing God speak to her, he will calm her down enough to get the word out.

  Joelbear, I love you man! You have such a kind heart. Please, don't ever lose that.

  I hope what I am trying to say is getting accross. I am not good at putting my words into writting. So..........I'll just say it as best I can. Weather or not you all realize it or not. We have been acting like a big family here. We will never get along all the time but, we love each other and we forgive each other like families tend to do. I do not think that we would be the same without each other.

  recently i had the opportunity to go to the museum of tolerance in los angeles.

  one thing stuck in my mind, the purple triangles.

  I would like to add soemthing to what Tina wrote. I read a lot on the Holocaust and another group who were treated badly and even worse than the JWs, were the Homosexuals. Try doing a web search on the Holocaust. There are many sites out there.

  Get Rid Of Old WT Books?

  i havn't been to the kigdumb hall in 3.5 years and have no intention of ever going back.

  i have a collection of some of the rainbow books from da judge as well as da judges edited copies of 6 0f the 7 studies in the scripturs.

  should i get rid of them?

  can a 19 yr old male christian go out with a 19 yr old female jehovah's witness?

  if not, are their any ways around it?

  i me and this female really like each other but cant be seen together due to her religion.

  Take it from someone who has been there. I was once disfellowshipped for dating a non JW. The whole time I felt this awful guilt. All I could think about was going back and being reinstated so as not to be killed at Armageddon. I finally ended up leaving the guy and was reinstated. Had I known then what I know now I would have stayed with him and left the Org. So, if your girlfriend really believes the JW religion, odds are that she will eventually leave you for them.

  Spent time with my brother yesterday!

  yesterday, my brother had his jeep towed in to my shop for repair.

  about the time he arrived i was ready to eat so i took him with me to fuddruckers and we sat at the table and drank beer for lunch.

  that was the first time i have ever drank with my brother, and honestly i can't remember the last time we just talked one on one.

  Eulogy for My Father

  on tuesday, august 4, 2001 at 3:42.a.m.

  mst, duane floyd checketts, 77 died in his sleep due to complications from pneumonia.

  he is survived by his wife bette and two children, douglas checketts, patty smith, and 8 grandchildren.. duane, who was fondly called duke by everyone who knew him was born in farmington, utah on march 8, 1924. his father floyd, was one of 10 children raised in a tiny house built by his own mormon father who immigrated in the early 1860's from birmingham, england.
