  my dad passed away today and i am oh so tired of people dying on me this year.

  Someone just like Mel Gibson. The reasons why......

  He loves his wife and children
  He has a great sense of humor.
  He is intelligent
  He is kind to others
  He has a job. LOL
  and he is not self centered.
  He does his own ass work. LOL

  How do I know this? I know someone who does the art work for some movies and she and her husband have meet him while working on the set of a couple of his movies. They say he is one of the nicest people they have ever met.

  i was in a bookstore trying to forget the day when my father called me and told me that my grandfather had died.

  he had passed only five minutes after we had left.. someone else was wondering what happens when we die.

  well, i was reading the chronicles on narnia (something i do when i'm feeling a little lost), and something at the end of the last battle caught me eye.. "the term is over: the holidays have begun.

  Ash, i'm so sorry. I know how much it hurts to lose a grandfather. Mine was my favorite person in the world next to my mother. We did everything together when I was a child. Ice fishing was our favorite thing to do. It has been 21 years since he passed but I miss him still. At least memories last a lifetime. Hold yours close to you heart.

  i came here by chance...looking for none other than jw material:) i am currently studying with jw's and attend the kh but am not baptized, as are none of the members of my fam...yet.

  i've been studying for almost 4 years with the witnesses.

  i am confused...that's the simplest way of putting it.

  ....so the meeting finishes and im ready to bolt to the new middle eastern resteraunt just opened around the corner, and this brother comes up to me, funny actually he rarely speaks to me.... it was after the last weeks watchtower study ( those there will relate to this ).....he comes and starts talking about the study, and how jehovah when he destroy's .999 times 6 x 10 9 of earthlings he will be within his wright because " they cant say they werent told and didnt have enough time to do something about it ".

  ..well bugger me, good afternoon to you to brother *cockburn...hungry ??.

  anyhow this blokes gone on and on about how fair this last destruction will be.

  The few short years that I was a JW, I never liked this concept. After all, my mother would have been one of those killed as she was not a jw. Also, I had no JW friends, only "worldy" friends. I could never wish for their demise.

  Harry Potter and my daughter's class

  here is a little story that i thought you might find interesting.. last week, the local jw sisters dropped by our house to enquire.

  as to our recent absences (we actually had good excuses this time).. one of the sisters has a son who is in my daughter's grade 6 class.. during the visit, she asked what we were doing with regard to harry.

  I do feel bad for the jw children. I never told my kids they couldn't get involved with things at school. I felt that if I made them do certian things, that I was pushing "my" views on them.
