  Is homosexuality ever justifiable? I say YES!!!

  in the january 2012 awake, pages 28-29 there is another article about homosexuality.. .

  the writers argue that genetics, the environment, and sexual abuse do not justify homosexuality.

  the bible clearly states that homosexuality is wrong and is an abhorrent sin.

  Never understood how it's anyone's damn business who someone chooses to love. Good for you Tim and I wish you and your partner a long, happy and fulfilling life together.

  On a side note: i believe gay couples are a boon to humanity. They are less likely to add to our already over populated planet, adopt unwanted children and shower them with love and furnish them with a stable home and the promise of a future that many heterosexual parents are unable to do or couldn't bother with. This is something civilization is in dire need of.

  in today's wt study it makes the point that just glancing at the opposite sex is flirting and can lead to sex!.

  so are jw's now to wear blinkers?.

  also jw's are told to go and confess to the elders if they have any immoral thoughts?!!.

  i think that a person that is called before a judicial committee can use a recording of the trial and force the elder to view it because of jackson's statement to the commission and get off.

  i think mr jackson has said enough about people who wish to leave the witnesses as not being harassed, hunted down, or spied upon and such to get the elder off your back and give them a "good witness".. also to be highlighted is the fact that jackson has stated under oath that the governing body is willing to reexamine doctrine and policy in order to conform to the law,.

  i think many statements by gb jackson to the commission can be used by some one clever and thus escape the label of apostate and be unhindered to a large extent of speaking to others.. .

  according to j.w.`s the 144000 are a literal number of people , both men and women taken from the earth to rule with christ jesus in the heavens .this would also include judging in this role.

  (see another thread about women as judges).

  women in the religion of j.w.`s have no place in leadership roles ,cannot be elders , ministerial servants , or serve in any position of authority , and have no teaching voice in any congregation .. yet faithful anointed women can , upon their death rule with christ jesus in heaven for 1000 years according to j.w.

  There is a huge difference between staring at a lady or "undressing her with your eyes" and giving an appreciative glance. People tend to forget that above all we're nothing more than animals with higher intelligence and a higher degree of cognitive ability. We're subject to the same laws of attraction as animals because we are influenced by the same hormones which apparently "He" created us with in the first place (so blame him I suppose). We have the ability to comprehend beauty and sexuality and I will say to anyone's face that they are a liar if they claim to not find some degree of enjoyment in appreciating the beauty of a fellow human.

  Then there is another aspect to it. I can look at someone and admire their genetics, an athlete as an example. I see someone with a low center of gravity and think what a great power lifter or wrestler he/she would make. Or study someone's physique and ponder whether that person enjoys running or swimming. Looking at someone does not automatically imply sexual interest, that's preposterous! Talk about being presumptuous Lord Savior Jackson, how's that for presumptuous!

  I'm 16 and I might be pregnant In a JW household

  okay, i don't even know where to start.

  i'm 16, i live in a strict jw household and i know if i am pregnant (which is a big possibility) ..i know i'm doomed to a life of misery.

  not because of my baby but because of my family and the isolation and judgement from the congregation.

  I'm sorry to read you're in this predicament NYsweet16. If there are people on this planet who can help with advice, it would certainly be some of the ladies on this forum like OrphanCrow who can identify with your situation. The ladies here are imcredibly smart, compassionate and I believe to be genuine.

  Might I suggest you PM them should you feel a little intimidated. That way your conversation can be kept private and you would feel more secure.

  I am rooting for you as I'm sure most of us are. Be strong, stay calm and have faith in yourself!

  Witness behavior in my gym ....

  about two months ago two very attractive ladies in their mid 30's signed on at one of the gyms i belong to.

  for a while i noticed them watching me and naturally i assumed they were taking an interest in how i went about training my clients since many do before they decide to approach me and inquire about my services (i own a health and fitness consultancy).. sure enough one of them approached me a few weeks back and asked me for a business card, inquired about rates and various other aspects involved with signing on with me.

  i handed her a card and explained that my client schedule was full but she should consider signing on with one of my personal trainers who still had some open spots available.
