i discovered that my 96-year-old grandaunt had named her jw elder as personal representative of her estate and another jw "best friend" as her power of attorney.
i learned that they used a financial advisor at wells fargo advisors to help raid my grandaunts bank accounts in the years before her death, and then the wt and jws received most of what was left of her estate.
i am currently working on a book to expose this horrific practice.

so when i was at luch today, my wife was in full cult mode.
she started in on me about us not being able to hang with other witnesses and when i go to the meetings with her that i don't talk with nobody nor pay attention and act angry.

I was never a "sister" ;) but You're quite right. Even those who are not observant would notice the obvious social ladders prevalent in congregations. Great advice too.

we also know how much the wts hypes up the scope and scale of the global preaching effort.
what the gb should be doing however is emphasising the ineffectiveness of the preaching work.

On a side note, am I wrong in recalling that the message about the Great Tribulation used to be far more harrowing? I seem to remember a distinct message of doom and gloom back in the 70's and 80's.

By there being no mention of GJ's "presumptuous" rebuttal concerning the GB being in direct communication with God in those nauseating worship posts, indicates why "new light" is never questioned and so readily accepted by the die-hard Org zombie. I don't believe there exists a limit as to what those zombies will overlook in order to safegaud the fantasy.
