Anything is possible, but I'm betting there's nothing to it. There are so many buildings and signs in NYC, that nobody sees them. I'm guessing that neither Josh Groban nor the album cover artists/photographers paid any attention. Maybe just enough to see if they'd have to pay royalties or something if the sign could be read. The WT, I'm sure would have been fine with it. A bit of free advertising.

Really they're agnostics but there are very few "pure athiests" who literally deny the existence of God.
So true, simon17
Baristaman,
But it must be quantifiable, testable, peer reviewable proof.
Thank you. You said it so much better than I.
berate him for being such an elusive jerk about everything
I'm sure you'd have to take a number for that one. I know I'd be in that line.

Baristaman, I'm glad to see that you are not a quitter, very persistent!
It seems to me that, not only are atheists willing to admit when they don't know something, they are also open to new ideas if the facts support it. Many atheists would even believe in a God if they're show reasonable, logical, proof.

I was df'd @ 17 & reinstated 6 months later. My dad said as long as I lived under his roof, I'd go to all the meetings. My meeting attendance didn't miss a beat. I think that's why it didn't take too long to get reinstated. Anyway, the night my reinstatement was announced, several people hugged me and welcomed me back, and congratulated my parents. One sister, who had been a close friend before, approached me with tears and admitted that she was having a hard time welcoming me back. I don't remember a great deal of love bombing, and things went back to normal pretty quickly after that. (Just as added history, I da'd about 10 yrs later.)

Water Canopy? Huh?
by Mr. Falcon in*** w80 11/15 p. 23 par.
4 jehovah of armies to the rescue!
the fact that today we do not have a vast water canopy suspended high up in space and all around our globe and thus blocking direct sunlight, moonlight and starlight is because jehovah saw what was going on down here upon his terrestrial footstool and took action.

Did the writers of that watchtower [article] in the OP even read what they wrote? They say, themselves, that the canopy would have blocked sunlight! How in the he** could there have been any life, let alone wickedness, to merit a flood???
While there was diffused light on the first creative day, the sun was visible through the overcast, and nothing changed in this regard on the second creative day when the waters above, which became the water canopy, were separated from the waters below, which were our oceans, until the fourth creative day, for only then did the source of the light become visible on earth. The word "blocked" used in this article is just a way of describing the diffused light from the sun through the "vast water canopy suspending high in space and all around our globe."
Oooohhhh, so diffused is the same as blocked. I get it!
Not that it's going to do anybody *cough, djeggnog, cough, cough* any good, but, just so I have a little back-up, I looked up "block" & "diffuse" at Oxford Dictionaries.com and low and behold........they are nothing alike!
If the writer of that '80 WT meant diffused, he would have used DIFFUSED, not blocked!

One of my doubts I mentioned to my wife was posed as a question by a householder
by ihadnoidea inone of my doubts i mentioned to my wife was actually posed as a question by a householder to her a few days ago.
i have every once in a while mentioned some doubts i have had on the bible.
i usually get the same response, "wait on jehovah".

@ ihadnoidea:
With you, it's easy for your wife to just say "wait on Jehovah" (thought stopper), but she can't say that to a householder! Since she just stopped her thinking with you, she had no answer for it. Now she was forced to go beyond or away from the thought stopper and there was just nothing there. I hope she'll start listening and taking your questions a little more seriously now.
@ skeeter1:
Holy crap, skeeter1!!!! I knew there were killings, but when you see it all laid out like that, wow! Could I copy that? It would be a great thing to hand out to any JWs that happen to stop at my door!

I'm Starting To Understand Atheist and Evolution
by Philadelphia Ponos infor many years i was sincerely perplexed when someone told me they believed in the evolution theory or were an atheist.
i never understood how someone could ignore all the evidence for intelligent design and overlook all the holes in the evolution theory.
for example, the human biology clock is synced with the rotation of the earth, the earth is the perfect distance away from the sun to sustain life, the earth has an ozone layer to protect us from the sun's radiation, the earth naturally produces fruits and vegetables to be used for food, our bodies produce enzymes to break down the fruits and vegetables so it can nourish us, the earth produces water and oxygen, etc.

Things about God just don't make sense to me. So I have just started exploring the what-if-there-is-no-god idea. I have questions like: Life forms on earth are so complicated, how did it evolve if there is no god? So I've started reading. There are a lot of good sources on this post that I am looking forward to examining! Thanks, everyone!
