Today a group of sisters from a different hall came to my house today. They were out in full force placing memorial invitations. Instead of answering the door, I felt compelled to pretend to be not home and waited for them to leave. My husband, though confused by my actions got a kick out of me being a witness hiding from the witnesses.

My new occupation...
by Igot2bme ini have been a jw for 20 years now but have not had much contact with my congregation in the last few years or so.
just recently i was demoted 4 days after i suffered a work related injury which laid me up for 3 months.
during that time, i was offered a job that would utilize my artistic talents and help me to make a decent wage to care for my disabled husband and teenage daughter.

Just recently I was demoted 4 days after I suffered a work related injury which laid me up for 3 months. During that time, I was offered a job that would utilize my artistic talents and help me to make a decent wage to care for my disabled husband and teenage daughter. The job that I was offered was tattoo artist. I took it, started tattoing, and I love it. I haven't been visited by the elders as of yet but I have noticed a few from the hall have snubbed me upon knowing what I have been up to. I also had a sister visit me recently giving me an employement update of what jobs are available in the area. I know that she means well but I told her I would make more doing this than the other jobs that are out there. How long will it take before I get DF'd for taking on this job?

I figure what is the point of even going if Jesus' isn't our mediator or that his ransom was basically for the anointed and not really for us other sheep according to the WTBS.

This year will be my first year of not attending the memorial in 20 years of being a JW. I won't miss it. I get snubbed every time I attend a meeting at the KH and I am not DF'd so I won't go to meetings anymore.

"Something in the congregation is hindering the flow of Jehovah's holy spirit" - witch hunt JW style?
by slimboyfat inhas anyone else experienced something like this?.
in my mother-in-law's congregation a special pioneer was recently moved to the congregation and he gave a talk where he said he and the other elders felt there was a bad spirit in the congregation and there must be something going on that is preventing jehovah's holy spirit from operating properly.
but he didn't state explicity what the problem might be and now gossip is rife in the congregation about whether there might be a sinner or a traitor in their midst.. for many this is just the excuse they need to gossip and bad mouth others.

Malawi Party Card, Scans and comment
by BluesBrother ini am indebted to marvin shilmer for the info, on his excellent site.. link .http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/03/malawi-savage-betrayal-by-watchtower.html.
i was so pleased to see the actual cards that caused all the trouble, after wanting to see it for so long, that i post it today.. first, the background in case anybody does not know the terrible events that happened.
in the late 1960's to early 1970's jehovah's witnesses were cruelly persecuted and subjected to the worst possible beatings, rape torture and death.

Hello NLW's wife, thank you for welcoming me. I have been reading a lot of the topics and posts but never participated until now. It feels good to be
able to express my feeling to others who are going through the same emotional turmoil associated with the WTS.

I was a Jehovah's Witness for 20 years and I am technically still one though I do not attend meetings any more, do not believe that it is the true faith nor has gods backing. This subject about the Malawi Party cards and the Mexican military cards was a pivotal moment for me in my life. I remember sitting at the computer reading about this revelation about 9 months ago. I couldn't believe it! I was sick to my stomach at the same time recalling all the times at the conventions and meetings throughout the years they would mention the atrocities that happened there. I remember the speakers at the conventions shouting "Would you be able to be like those brothers and sisters and take a stand for Jehovah in the face of such opposition!" I felt very betrayed and hurt for the people that had heeded the organizations words.
