In other words, he is fulfilling the American Dream of free enterprise: willing seller, willing buyer.. He offers things that people are willingto buy. He says things that people are willing to tune in and listen to, and he makes folks "really love to give him their money."
Isn't it odd that you appear to think that doing things that people like and who freely offer their money for those things is somehow "wrong?"

i have fonund the information to be helpful and encouraging.. however, i'm not sure how much longer i can take being married to the jw's.. i have a wonderful husband, but he believes everything this cult tells him.
most recently he has decided that because the end is near we don't have to worry about our bills.

My dad did pretty much the same thing. Mom went to the elders. They told him to get a job! It didn't really work...he tried, but it just added another huge layer of stress to him. He was pretty paralysed.
Come to think of it, what he really needed was some professional help. Some therapy.

I really think shunning should have it's own heading. It is of great importance and is, next to the blood doctrine, the most distructive, painful and abusive of all the JW teachings as well as the most likely to actually affect any individual JW.
All potential converts need to understand that the shunning is extreme, it is required, and it is devastating.
