I only started my topic because I was looking for advice. I am a "newbie" and I have never read about any situation like mine so far. I just started to read this website when I registered. Sorry if this is being repetitive, I didn't know. I have never posted on any website before, I don't know all the rules. I am just a kid.

Thank you for responding to my post. I didn't expect such an overwhelming response, and variety of opinions. It seems like your responses mirror all the thoughts that run through my head. No wonder I find this situation so confusing.
No, my boyfriend is not baptized. For the time being he has refused to be. He is not trying to "suck me in" in any way what-so-ever. He hardly talks to me about his religion, he only really talks to my mom about it. I know he is pressing the limits, because we do exchange presents.... his birthday is on Sunday (which he is excited about) and I am giving him a present on friday, as, I won't be seeing him on the weekend, of course. I know he has put up with some grief from his parents, and the "elders" about me, but we are both comfortable holding hands in front of his parents now.
I have a lot more to read and think about, and I will be posting more when I have time. I have homework and dance classes first.
oh, and thanks for thinking I write so well.... maybe I should print this off to show to my L.A. teacher so she will raise my mark to 85%! LoL

I am just a young teenager, and my first ever boyfriend is a JW!! At that time i didn't even know what a JW was, no one at school ever really mentioned anything. I had no idea what i was getting into. Since that time my mom and I have been doing some research about... well... what he is supposed to be believing in. The more I read, the freakier it seems.
This boy is sweet, kind, smart, cute, and just all around a great guy. He is very good and loyal to me, and I trust him completly.
I am perfectly happy with him for right now, as this is just a junior high relationship... but.. I know I could never or would never marry someone who is a JW. Neither of us are allowed to go on dates, so that isn't a big problem. It, just that his parents object to me so strongly. It's hard to communicate when he is not even allowed to talk on the phone with me.... coincidence that EVERY time he calls his parents "have to use the phone"... I THINK NOT!
Right now I am just trying to understand it all as best I can, and figure out how things work in "his life".
