Jealous Murderous OT Yahweh Jehovah really is Satan?

i would love to start a discussion (not a debate) with others that follow the gnostic writings from the nag hammadi library.

i am a believer that pretty much every belief has some truths and fallacies.

some say its a game of 'only taking what you like out of something'.....i say, its using discernment to find the 'pure nature' of what god would be and is.

How do JWs Not see how barbaric YHWH is? Its what started my awakening.

if one reads genesis from the first chapter through the end with an open mind, it is clear that not only is it not true, but that god is potrayed as a cruel, petty, childish micromanaging tyrant.

if one continues reading the ot this is just further solidified.

a watcher wrote Jehovah had to be tough with early mankind. They were hard-headed and hard-hearted.

But with the new covenant, Jehovah showed His loving side in the person of His son Jesus.

It's a lot easier to be a Christian than it was to be a Hebrew.

So is that why jehovah killed many infants, women, and made some virgens who were not killed into concubines?

Supposedly Job was a blameless upright man who didn't desearve the suffering and loss and pain Jehovah Yahweh, had wreaked down on him and his family. Heard hearted Job???? Really. Evil god.

If Jesus is Michael, then why would he be afraid of Satan?

jude 1:9 shows that michael didn't dare rebuke satan.

if jesus is michael, then why would he be afraid to do so?

in matthew and mark it clearly shows that the demons were afraid of jesus..

Jesus was not Michael. Jesus is the Powerful God who would rightly rebuke Satan, who I personally believe is Jehovah, Yahwah. So who better to rebuke this evil entity who is mad enough to believe he is God.

i would like some advice from those that are inpartial, and are familiar with the teachings of jw.

i studied with a wonderful jw couple weekly for 3 years.

Don't believe everything they "teach" you about the "truth". Part of developing a close relationship with you is due to a regular practice of "love bombing" newly interested ones. They will be your friend, and invite you to dinner, and associate with other JW's, and keep inviting you to meetings where you will experience more "love bombing" to hook you in even more. This is their MO. Not all members who leave and get disfellowshipped, will be treated as hatefully as my family was treated when we tried to expose a long time pedophile in the congregation. It took it's toll on me and yet I survived it. When their headquarters and their elders and travelling overseers turn on you and try to use their watchtower lawyers against you, it becomes evident this is a hateful religion hiding behind a facade of rank and file members expected to follow along with the belief that God only loves you if you are a baptized Jehovah Witness and must warn the rest of the world that God is going to kill each and every one who doesn't become a believer. They will use scriptures to prove what a killer god, this Jehovah, is to those who were not worshippers of this bloodthirsty god who demands blood and animal sacrifices.

You have honorable and good desires to develop a relationship with God. You can do this thru prayer and faith in Jesus Christ who himself never once mentioned the Old Testament Jehovah as his True Father in Heaven. His teachings were opposite of the Old Testament Jehovah's unmerciful way of dealing with the Israelites and the nations around them. Jehovah is an entirely different god than the one Christ taught about as his Heavenly Father, a God of Love. Get to know this True God that Jesus taught about, and just keep praying for guidance, and you will know that something is just so wrong with their "us against the world" teachings. I am sure in the bible studies you have with them they are using their publications to frame the way your study is going. Just use your powers of critical thinking, and love your family and stay close to them, because the Witnesses will try to drive a wedge between you and your family if they cannot convert them thru you.

I think once you come to the realization that this Bible god YHWH, Yahweh, Jehovah, is so evil, and seemingly thriving on the suffering of humans, you come to the conclusion that this god is really the Devil, not the Father in Heaven Christ spoke of. And isn't it interisting, Jesus never mentions this evil god by name as his Father in Heaven.

ugh, i saw them this morning, 4 of them piling out of the car in front of my house and going to a few "not at homes" across the street.

it brought up a lot of uncomfortable feelings in me and especially seeing a former friend who's partially related to my husband's family thru marriage.

i saw her out the window staring at our home and it gave me the creeps.

No Satan

that was one of the first of the prepackaged beliefs from my church that i let fall.. why?.

because i'd stared evil in the face and lived to tell about it.

i know it's textures, it's dark places, the feel, smell, perversion, degradation, corruption of it.

It seems pretty obvious to me. Satan, the Devil, The Great Dragon, is Jehovah, Yahweh, Yaldabaoth, the evil god with lots of different names who

is misleading every religion and all of mankind. Christ and his Father in Heaven will correct the error of this Yahweh god.

Thank you all for your supporitve and kind words. You are absolutely right. It's really so pathetic that they just go on with their lives like this. What a huge waste of time. Just driving around parking, getting out in this brutal cold, walking up to a door you know is not goint to answer, and walking back to the car. It's nothing more than the WT keeping them doing busy work. They can only ride around, gossip, eat, and that is it. This girl has been a full time pioneer for decades. What a bobble head.

Overwhelming Fear of Death

i do, and i hate it.

people (mostly my brother) tells me to not fear death and just to enjoy life and so on, but that doesn't seem to help any.

I have faced death twice with major illness. I do admit I have feared death in the past during my life, especially when I was a younger JW. But now, not so much. I'm still working out my spiritual leanings since leaving the Watchtower Cult. Tho, I was raised a Catholic before becoming a JW in 1969, and leaving in 2002, I went thru a period where I believed I had to keep my relationship with the Jehovah god but as time has gone by and I have explored other ancient religious and esoteric writings, I now don't really believe the Bible is the most accurate book to put faith in and give me the comfort I need regarding my fears of death and dying. Since, major health issues prompted me to examine how I feel, as well as traumatic events in my life, I had what some might call an epiphany. It was an accute realization within myself that I literally visualized during this time of trauma, that I felt truly connected to God as I pictured as Light embracing my own inner light. It was this intense feeling within myself that led me to search what this could mean, because I "knew" in my heart that this as not the WT god, but something I percieved as True God and Christ getting me thru this trauma. It was during those days I began looking reading a book "Jehovah Unmasked" which in turn led me to Gnostic scriptures and writings. It helped me to form my spiritual leanings I have now, and I honestly do not fear death. I do not have a longterm view of my future, and I'm ok with that.
