Jesus: "Screw you, Joseph! You're not my real dad!"
Mary: "James, why can't you be more like your brother, Jesus?"
Mary to Joseph: "So, an angel visited me last night and now I'm pregnant. No, it's not yours..."

When the left has no argument they always throw out the "Hitler" reference...
When the right has no argument, they always compare liberals to Hitler. BOOM! You set that one up, man!

OH, GOD, good riddance!
i am officially a 34-year-old college freshman!
woo hoo!!!!!.
due to my current situation, i am taking on-line classes for the summer semester.. i am finally getting this college thing going!
Yay! I'm in college too! Hurray for knowledge and debauchery!
at one point in my life i chose to stop listening to my religion's advice to not research outside of their framework.
about the time i made that decision was when the gay marriage debate was going very strong; and still is to this day.
back then i felt like my state of california was leading the front on it to stop the bigotry and oppression once and for all.. it was a hot topic for me because i was questioning the bible and my faith so i started researching the science of homosexulality.
aSphere, your comparrison is legitimage, but there is no "hermaphrodite debate" going on right now so their is a big difference there.
Actually, Sab, these two are related. In a society where people are either male or female, and only men can expect to get married to women--and vice versa--this is a huge problem for hermaphrodites. If a person is a female on paper and a male in real life, and this person wants to marry a female, will he be allowed to, according to the law?

religion may become extinct in nine nations, study saysby jason palmer, science and technology reporter, bbc news, dallas.
a study using census data from nine countries shows that religion there is set for extinction, say researchers.. the study found a steady rise in those claiming no religious affiliation.. the team's mathematical model attempts to account for the interplay between the number of religious respondents and the social motives behind being one.. the result, reported at the american physical society meeting in dallas, us, indicates that religion will all but die out altogether in those countries.. the team took census data stretching back as far as a century from countries in which the census queried religious affiliation: australia, austria, canada, the czech republic, finland, ireland, the netherlands, new zealand and switzerland.. nonlinear dynamics is invoked to explain a wide range of physical phenomena in which a number of factors play a part.. one of the team, daniel abrams of northwestern university, put forth a similar model in 2003 to put a numerical basis behind the decline of lesser-spoken world languages.. at its heart is the competition between speakers of different languages, and the "utility" of speaking one instead of another.. "the idea is pretty simple," said richard wiener of the research corporation for science advancement, and the university of arizona.. "it posits that social groups that have more members are going to be more attractive to join, and it posits that social groups have a social status or utility.. "for example in languages, there can be greater utility or status in speaking spanish instead of [the dying language] quechuan in peru, and similarly there's some kind of status or utility in being a member of a religion or not.".
re chap. 35 p. 256 pars. 15-16 Executing Babylon the Great
God’s people are not the only objects of the enmity of the ten horns. The angel now draws John’s attention back to the harlot: “And he says to me: ‘The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.’”—Revelation 17:15, 16.
Just as ancient Babylon relied on her watery defenses, Babylon the Great today relies on her huge membership of “peoples and crowds and nations and tongues.” The angel appropriately draws our attention to these before telling of a shocking development: Political governments of this earth will turn violently upon Babylon the Great. What will all those “peoples and crowds and nations and tongues” do then? God’s people are already warning Babylon the Great that the water of the river Euphrates will dry up. (Revelation 16:12) Those waters will finally drain away completely. They will not be able to give the disgusting old harlot any effectual support in her hour of greatest need.—Isaiah 44:27; Jeremiah 50:38; 51:36, 37.'
Now, Spade, can you please answer me this: is ATHEISM part of Babylon the Great? Yes or no?

It works the other way around as well.
@sab:
Yes, they will be bitter enemies till the end, I'm afraid...
we are great friends now....but he wasn't much of a father growing up.. worked all the time...we went on few vacations....pretty much pussy whipped my my nazis jw mother.. he never did believe in the whole jw thing.
he just when along with it, for my mothers sake.. she never did respect him for not being a "spiritual head" and pretty much let us kids know about it.. i, like my mother became very self rightious and judgmental.. i wished now he had just came to me just once and said "keith maybe the jws are not the people you think they are.
" but he was to afraid of my mother to say that...even though he knew it to be true.i would have never believed him....back then....but it would have planted a seed.... .
My dad's a die-hard JW fanatic...that's all I'll say for now...

@asphereisnotacircle:
This was one of my #1 reasons for questioning the WT and the Bible in general. Without giving too much info, I can say this point really hits home...
