The latest July 15 WT - un-real.
by just n from bethel ini've been trying for some time to find the motiviation i needed to completely leave the cult behind.
i'm mean, do it emotionally as well as mentally (whole-souled, right?
), despite still having a lot of family and friends that are cult members.

just n from bethel, Amen! Especially the simplified WT! I don't think they've ever been so BLATANTLY cultish! It's like they're admitting it! Gems like "We are determined not to follow apostates because we love Jehovah's organization" "We must pay atttention to the warnings in the Bible if we do not want Satan to deceive us with false stories." "We can enter into Jehovah's rest if we obey him and work with his organization." "We need to obey the faithful and discreet slave to have Jehovah's approval." And this one is truly soul-crushing! "Our love for Jehovah must be stronger than our love for family members who are not loyal to Jehovah." I about SHAT myself when I read this for the first time. Threw up a little in my mouth...

What If You Attended As An Atheist?
by metatron ingiven the weird world of the watchtower, i do wonder if this has ever happened: a witness keeps going to meetings as an atheist!.
suppose a baptised witness tells his family and friends that he has lost all faith in god's existence but still attends meetings faithfully and is friendly, maybe even handing out the occasional tract!.
i sometimes wonder if, since going to meetings is almost everything, if they would shrug their shoulders and accept it!.

New simplified Watchtower
by alanv inbeginning with the july 15th 2011 edition of the watchtower, the society are producing a simplified version of the study copy.. this is apparantly for the many people whose first language is not english, and yet they live in a predominantly englsih speaking county.. the normal study edition will still be produced but it looks like the cong.
will be able to ask for a supply of the simplified version each month.. this simplified version can be downloaded from the watchtower site.. http://www.jw.org/index.html.
