cnn reports that the british working with the us in the initial attack.

royal navy submarines have launched a number of cruise missiles to assist with removing the taliban's war fighting capability.. congratulations and a big thank-you to all the sailors of the royal navy.

we in the us thank you and we will remember the help you have given us in the war against the terrorists.

7:14. the bible makes a number of serious "predictions" about the future of mystery "israel," ... whom i propose to be jehovah's witnesses of our time.

being witnesses

dont get me wrong, i dont mean to sound critical or rude, but how can some of you say you are witnesses but not attend meetings and stuff...or go witnessing?

its what jehovah says to do, so how can u not do what jehovah says, but yet call yourself a jehovahs witness??

It doesn't take an organization to do that.

reading posts and where are all the jw's?

we have people who have gotten out of the watchtower, good for all of you.

Active schmelder (I like that word!), but with a lot of family to lose. Hate the hypocracy, wind-tacking changes, thought-control. Love my friends and family - there are some lovely individuals (in and out).

Technically you are still a witness if you haven't DA/DF'd, and report at least one hour every sixth month (you'd be classed as irregular, instead of inactive) - regardless of if you're baptized, or not.
Of course it is assumed that you use this hour to preach "God's kingdom", which for most believers would not be a total problem as there is no small print that says that you HAVE to use magazines or preach Wt doctrines to do this.
Stop reporting for a full six months and you are no longer in the stats.

Maybe Cornish would disagree, but I think that there may be another catagory of dub who stays. One who tries to effect change from the inside (like the JW Reformers on Blood). There may be more types, too - I hate to see "definitive" lists <g> as this world is full of rich variety.

i hope to send this letter today although i must seriously consider the consequences if i do.. please let me know if i got the ngo info right.. dear brothers,.

i am writing on two matters of major concern to me.. firstly recently i have become aware of the fact that the watchtower society of jehovahs witnesses in new york is associated as an ngo (non governmental organisation) with the department of public information of the united nations organisation.. at first i was very skeptical of the idea , but when i checked it out on the uns web site i found that jehovahs witnesses were indeed listed in partnership with the un.. this is puzzling to me as by belief has been that the un was taught by the faithful and discreet slave to be part of satans political system of things.. here are some quotes from watchtower literature.. *** re 248 34 an awesome mystery solved ***.

the un is actually a blasphemous counterfeit of gods messianic kingdom by his prince of peace, jesus christto whose princely rule there will be no end.. .

Meeting's..........the best Medicine!!!

do you remember those truly wonderful occasions when the meeting was in full swing, and something/one would make you laugh uncontrollably............so much so that you had to go out.

(and yes, your were sat on the front row!

you would go out and feel terribly guilty, and when you thought you were under control, you would venture back in only to find that the air was still full of laughter (on your row)..............truly wonderful meetings!!

Also remember in the announcements that a bro. got his letters mixed up whilst announcing the ministry arrangements (this has to be a common one, but hasn't been commented on).

He announced "meeting at the *** Road Group" as "meeting at the *** rude grope"!!!

I think he had a letter to read after that, but I have to confess, I wasn't really concentrating

I recall a Wt Study where one youth started farfing - LOUD.
It carried on forever, to the point that we started timing it.
Fifteen seconds after we started timing, it stopped.

We didn't know whether to laugh or applaud.
Needless to say, the bro. reading had to stop, and had real trouble starting again.

some years ago he married lucy, a vivacious middle-aged lady with something of a reputation.
