i'm a "loner", so no one is following me, and i'm not following anyone.. maybe i tend slightly towards being a follower, but it better be worth my time, or i'll be back to a loner once more.

I'm gregarious and while I'm happy to swing with the crowd I'm not really what you'd call a follower. If I get bored I'll probably be found mixing it up and creating my own fun. Fortunately it isn't usually too many miles from other people's tastes, so faux pas' are relatively rare.
Leader? Sometimes, but I'm happy enough in my own skin to let others take that role if they really wish - unless they are real asswipes, in which case they aren't long for the role...

we live in a block of 6 flats, with communal security doors at the front and back.
apart from between 7am and 10am every day, when the trades entrance button will open the front security door, no one can get in here unless they have a fob to open the security doors with, or unless one of the residents lets them in.. the jws were just at the front security door, obviously getting their hour in after the morning meeting.
they don't ring our bell, they know better, so they were ringing the other bells.

i am highly considering becoming a jehovah's witness.
i have been raised in the congregration, but left it when i was a child because my mom left too, but we still retatined the core belifs including the ressurection and the blasphemous pagan influence on mainstream churches.
my mom has recently returned to the congregation, and it has helped her a lot.
The "Literal Version" by Green uses the name Jehovah in all the appropriate places in the Old Testament, and none in the New Testament (which is similarly appropriate, as it was never used in the Greek). As such it is fairly accurate, IMHO. He also produced a Hebrew and Greek Interlinear that allows you to see it in the original languages as well as English, if you're into that depth of study.

Enlightenment comes from real reasearch and study, not spoonfeeding. If I were to attempt to enlighten you then all I would provide would be my own version of how I see the world and spirituality. The real challenge is to create your own...
Roughly translated: if you're genuinely interested in Christianity get off your hiney and read another translation of the Bible for yourself.
I'll offer you a starting point, if you're really feeling stuck, which you can take or leave. Try reading the Gospel of John in "The Message" (its a recent translation that is pretty easy to read, and should be found in most good bookshops including Amazon), and see if you can identify with the main character.
Then, if you are so inclined, maybe read a few easy-reader textbooks on things like evolution.
It doesn't take long to start discovering that there's a wide world of knowledge out there that we were once barred from. The hardest part is actually taking the time amd effort to look. The payback is tremendous.

If you're genuinely interested in Christianity then you should probably take a look at what mainstream Christians really believe, rather than accepting what the WTS (as a biased source) has to say. Your comments on immortality are a dead giveaway as to your ignorance on the subject (and I don't mean that in a perjurous sense - its just obvious that you simply don't know...)
