  Has the WTS ever made a prediction that came true?

  this morning a thought occured to me "has the society ever made a prediction or prophecy that has come true"?.

  most of us are familiar with the prophecies or dates the wts has emphasized in the past.

  of course all of those predictions never proved to be accurate so the question is, "if this is god's prophetic organization where is the proof"?.

  The light is supposed to be getting brighter, not Technicolor !!!

  A C.O. once told me I would go a long way... and so I did .
  I guess that probably doesn't count, though, as it didn't come from Head Office.

  Language has Gone Downhill in the Society

  in a recent thread with a "witness" on this forum, i was told that he spent last night with my mother, as she was more than happy to "take it up the ass".

  when i replied that my mother had passed on, he continued on with, "i wish i could feel sorry about your mom.

  IMHO, JW's don't know how to use foul language circumspectly, there's little experience of it (especially if home-taught ).
  It's the whole "released spring" thing.
  Once the cork is out of the bottle, the excitement leads the emotions on to releasing a whole pile of frustrations, and it aint pretty.

  I'm mixing my metaphors, but I think you probably catch my drift.
  At least, that was my experience, growing up.

  Anybody know if NY is any older than say 22 - 24 ?

  It hurts when the real truth starts to eat away at the edges of your consciousness, doesn't it. I know - I've been there too.
  It's easy to turn the outrage at your betrayal outwards to those who waken you to the truth.
  One of these days you'll admit to yourself that they've done a great mind-job on you. If you have half a gut you'll come here, cap in hand, and jdubla will probably be one of the first to greet you.

  Meanwhile, let's not add to anyones hurt by making personal references to family, eh? That kind of comment hurts more than just those involved - it's crass.

  I Had Coffee With Sausage Lucy This Morning.

  further to my post about how jw lucy told the local police that husband ray tried to murder her with poisoned sausages and later confessed that it was all a lie, i have today sat in lucy's kitchen drinking her coffee.. earlier, ray sheepishly told me that he had gone back to lucy and had forgiven her for accusing him of attempted murder.

  he also said that he thought part of the problem was that they weren't getting enough sleep because of a leaking gutter outside their bedroom window, would my little company fix it for them?.

  so, today, i set off with my big ladders and duly rectified the problem.
