you show them why the society is wrong on prohecy, theres no authority for the gb, mistakes and changes and how they have damaged lives, and everything else you can think of .. and what do they say.. "does it really matter?

it is the truth and there no where else to go".

BEING ANOINTED, MARRIED,????

i'm looking for an answer, and views to a disturbing question i have had for years.. for more than 2 decades, this has bothered me, yet i have been unable to resolve this dilema witin myself.

i hope some of you can help.. over the 40 years i was "in", i have known many "anointed".

most...were single, either by choice, or by the death of a mate.. but their are 2 i have known, who were married.. .

Based on what Rev. 14:4 says...I would have to say that the 144,000 would have to consist of men who haven't had sex with women. This would rule out women and married men being amoungst the annointed.
Rev. 7 tell me that these guys would be Jews.

Tales of the ANNOINTED

i met my last "annointed" in 1992, her name was dawson & lived in a small town in the middle of nebraska.. her grandson, a funny, but wild & heavy drinking dub, introduced us & they spent the night at our house.. she was a life long dub & we could see she was a real mental case.. my wife & i kept the door to our room locked & they left early in the morning without saying a word.. she had long straggly white hair & eyes that could turn you to stone.. her grandson told us that one night, under a full moon, she was seen chasing a chicken, hatchet in hand, in her nightgown.. i was told later that she had lost a child to cancer & i felt bad for her, maybe if she had not been raised a dub, she would have received some professional help.. that was just one of many nutty things that helped me see the wt for what it was, a goofy cult!.

any other true stories?

I wonder what "weeding" out process the elders go through to decide who is annointed and who isn't. This isnt the first time I've heard of some quack claiming to be an annointed one.

everlasting to everlasting applied only to the god of israel.

he could find no scripture in which this term applied to jesus.. i found some good info.

by "religious experience" i mean a moment, an incident, where you felt that god was directly addressing you thru a public talk, a watchtower article.

did god give you a "sign" that convicted you of the truth of "the truth"?.

my mother told me about one she had.

Once I felt a burning sensation in my chest while praying during a sermon at church. Strangely enough, I was praying for God to take away my guilt for having left the Jehovah's Witnesses. A couple of minutes later the pastor looked at a couple of us sitting in the congregation and said that he noticed a glow about us that looked like a target on our chest. Even though he wasn't looking directly at me...it was confirmation enough...I knew he was talking about me.
I freaked and took my wife and kids home. Having been raised a JW I thought this was some sort of evil. Well, I finally called him at home and told him what I felt. He put my fears to rest by explaining that sometimes God touches us like that.
BTW, I haven't felt any guilt about leaving the bOrg since ;)
