Good-bye everyone!

i just wanted to share a few things that are on my heart and mind...hope you don't mind reading.

the church i'm affiliated with has several sister churches around the world.

the purpose of those relationships is to encourage and help each other grow in our relationship with god and christ, whether it be by spiritual encouragement or physical help.

i have really enjoyed getting to know so many of you.

don't consider this a permanent goodbye, as i'll most likely stop back every now and again to see how you are faring.

and to keep you updated with me and the family deal.. the reality is, this board was great for me while i was pregnant, i was so sick.

Cygnus is in bad shape

just so i don't miss anybody who is interested.... my results from the ekg and the echogram showed a severe leak in a heart valve.

i am going for an angiogram on the 15th but the cardiologist says the liklihood is great that i will need open heart surgery.

rare for a 30 year old but if necessary, it is necessary.. no word yet on the results of the blood work for liver enzymes and hepatitis.

i am looking for more scriptures that can prove to a jehovah witness that god is jesus, and jesus is god.i found only one verse so far in 1jo:5:20: and we know that the son of god is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son jesus christ.

this is the true god, and eternal life.. if you know more scriptures that say directly that god is jesus please tell me the verses the jhw will see plainly that jesus is no way an angel, and he is jehovah god almighty.. my friend said if i can prove by the bible only that jesus is god he will leave the jhw society, and he will know that they are teaching lies and they would be to him a dogma religious sect.

my friend gave me a booklet called should you believe in the trinity?, and is jesus christ the almighty god.

I dont really see what point you are trying to make. If one reads the scriptures in Revelations...he cant help but wonder why there are such strong connections between who God and who Jesus is.

Please tell me how you can differentiate between First and Last and Alpha and Omega and Beginning and End. Quite simply.the 3 are the same. It amazes me how someone like yourself will take something so simple and break it down until it doesnt make sense anymore.

Dont you think there is supposed to be a message here? Wasnt God trying to tell us something? Do you really think that he left all these easy clues for us not to get?

What is God trying to tell you with the scriptures that weve been debating? What message is he sending you?

If Jesus is simply the Son of Godwhy not just say so and avoid all the comparisons between him and God the father?

I dont see John or any of the Apostles being such complicated individuals as to write things down to confuse us. These were simple everyday people. I will agree that certain parts of Revelations are difficult to understand...but not the scriptures we're talking about. Lizard

What Would You Have Done?

there was a middle-aged woman in our kingdom hall who was a long time pioneer.

she was a very warm and loving woman and so when she announced her plans for a family vacation one year some of us got together and took up a little collection so that she would have some extra money to spend.

after all, she was working hard for jehovah and werent we supposed to show our appreciation?.

I would call the local authorities of the place where she was vacationing and let them know what happended..

Then I would take out an ad in the local newspaper stating that you know who has the money and are willing to introduce the victim to the person who took it.
