This guy worked at the Canadian Bethel for sometime when I was in in the 1990s. He was assigned to The Applewood Congregation in Mississauga. I know because I was a member there at the time. He was a nerdy geek , but did not say or do anythhing I would notice as being dangerous, but i guess that is how these creeps get away with it. Glad he got his ass kick in jail, at least their is a sense of justice, unlike the KH.

and it always seems the crazy screwed up looking bastards are the ones doing all the preaching, while the silent majority watch and laugh, glad to have excaped. since i look pretty presentable i am going to work on my door visits and try and make a few good points, just be being easy going and smiling you can usually say just about anything, after all they've been brainwashed once, how hard can it be. hopefully the next ones to call are hot, i'll be much more motivated to talk

When You See A Witness What's Your First Reaction?
by minimus ini saw a few mindlessly working a neighborhood as i was driving the other day.
they looked so unhappy, just walking in baby steps, looking like zombies..

last time they came to the door, I got angry. Normally I just say no thanks and shut the door. but for whatever reason, asked them if they did not read or study and they said they did and i said they only read what they were told to read and allowed to read and i said that isn't research. I left a post about this a while because I was suprised by my reaction. i guess reading here has brought back some memories, and I'm sort of pissed off by the whole thing.
I think I'm going to work on my discussions with them and try and make them think as was suggested above, i'd wished someone had done it for me, i don't know if I would have taken it to heart but it will be fun trying. They may never come back if they are really watching for people who are better informed than they are.

What Are Your Hobbies Now That You're Out?
by lilbluekitty ini've been getting really into cooking lately!
i do have most of the same hobbies i had before, (i've always been into art and reading and watching movies and travelling) only now i can do them whenever and don't have to worry about meetings getting in the way or people telling me i spend too much time with "recreation.

The first thing I did for a while was drink. Once I got that out of the system i started fishing a bit, mostly bass fishing in Ontario. I took some flying lessons at Buttonville and once i lost interest I took up squash. I started running to improve my squash and really got into running. Around that time I went back to school, and really had to start at the beggining. I've been back in school now and really don't think I'll ever stop, it is a real love and I'm committed to life long learning. I hope any young JW who is thinking about it gets another chance like I did. It is very hard to do manual labour when your brain is begging for more. The last few years I took up golf and have really gotten very bad at it, actually worse then when I started, and it's been a horrible addiction, but it keeps me interested. I've also been on many vacations and i've traveled a good deal. I'm very thankful for the life I have today.

I found some old threads and read up a bit, I think like a lot of things it's okay, in some respects to go online, but yeah, i can't be sure they are not still in, i just found a few old members on facebook and didn't want to approach them unless they were out. There is nothing they can do to me, but I always wonder what ever happened to...
thanks

I remeber my first computer course in grade 9. The computers had not arrived yet, but the Commodore64 was a thing of beauty, with the cassette tape memory, probably astroids was the first game on board, space invaders was available in the arcade and pinball was pretty well done. We had to save connect with another computer out of town to print and come back the next day and at small program would be waiting, things like converting celcius to to farenhiet. If A is >100 goto 20...they did not seem to useful at first sight that is for sure. It is a cool part of history since I have seen the changes and have been part of the story, banking on line, school, work...lub it.

This is the kind of stuff that makes the Internet great.
He does look a little dangerous in a gloryhole gone bad sort of way, i'm scared straight, i'm going back- get my 14 hours a month, hunker down for the big finale, i wonder if i'm qualified for any sort of job at the old kh aside from chasing skirt and what not.
