I never was a JW. My question is pretty simple. This Watchtower is for January. Does that mean the whole month?
What does that mean? When will they study this?

1914 Prophecy
by Acer21 ini am having trouble locating what is the 1914 prophecy?
jw.org states that the jw's accurately predicted the events of 1914, but do not indicate what the predictions were, or the specific fulfillments.
what do jw's think they are (predictions/fulfillments)?

acer21 even though this isn't helpful to your finding references to 1914, it is interesting.
quote "she doesn't say too much" is why your search is difficult. pot / kettle

UPDATE: Wife Pretty Much Knows That I Don't Believe
by JW_Rogue inwe had a nice long talk and i brought up some things that make me think that this isn't the "truth" and she somewhat agreed with me.
i stuck with things i personally experienced or had knowledge of plus all the changes in recent years.
she agreed on a lot of the points but still believes in god and the bible.

JW_Rogue, I never was a Witness and only lurk in this forum occasionally. The reason for my post is
because your say your wife believes in God and the Bible. So do I and this reference below is to the
most educational post I ever read here. You will see the OP was by Cofty. You will also see that he says
he no longer believes in the Bible but he is spot on. He may not believe it but the man knows what it says.

What is the biggest problem with the JWS religion or the Watchtower Corporation from a sociological and theological perspective ?
by Finkelstein inmany have spent years associated with jws religion and having eventually left it for numerous reasons but if you were to directly pinpoint a source of the problem with this religious organization what would it be ?.
in my personal viewpoint it would have be the core operation of literature proliferation and other products associated with the wts.
corporation.. once you think about it everything is focused around the operation of the wts publishing house, its distribution and circulation of its published goods.

from a theological perspective
*** w67 12/15 p. 753 par. 1 What Now Distinguishes the Good News to Be Preached ***
EVER since the end of the Gentile Times in 1914 something of very present importance has been added to the “good news of God” that Jesus Christ used to preach . . .

JW Dogma Analysis For Lurkers & Faders to Consider
by The Fall Guy inthis post is necessarily lengthy, but my hope is that these 14 examples of wtbts dogma will be examined closely by those who either have something to gain by doing so, or those who can provide "new light" for any of the topics.. "however, you may say in your heart: “how will we know that jehovah has not spoken the word?” when the prophet speaks in the name of jehovah and the word is not....true, then jehovah did not speak that word.
you should not fear him.
" [the prophet] (deuteronomy 18:21-22) .

Thank you fall guy this is really helpful.
Number 4 (Rom.6:7) is especially a problem for JW dogma. All that necessary is read verse 8 which
is plainly referring to the death of Jesus. Which leads to a question that I have.
The dogma says the death of Rom.6:7 refers to the death of the JW personally not Jesus.
This then allows Rom.6:23 to be satisfied which is obviously not Paul's point in this text.
But if we grant their dogma here that a person's own death satisfies verse 23 then how does
a person who survives Armageddon pay for his sin since he has not ever died. Why would
such a person qualify for the new system? What am I missing on this?

Okaaay I honestly don't see the problems with my questions. I pasted that quote from JW.com and as
usual it is just an assertion with no further information like a date or who represents the wise or foolish
virgins. Now I have researched enough to pretty well know who they say is wise and foolish but I was
looking for a few details.
On the question of the current meeting schedule I understand that has changed over the last year or two.
Before the internets when there was only apostate books I read most of them and they are not very useful
and now obsolete. okay I withdraw the freaking questions.

Matt 24 /25 concerning the slave wars earthquakes etc. but the midnight cry? Can anyone elaborate? Also what is
the meeting schedule currently? What happens on what days? thanks
This was an outstanding feature of the “sign” that Jesus foretold in his great prophecy. For the remnant, the time of that awakening was one of great joy, a joy like that of the five discreet, or wise, virgins awakened by the midnight cry: “Here is the bridegroom! Be on your way out to meet him.” (Matthew 25:1-6) That joyous awakening occurred in the spring of 1919,
