New article and video on TTATT

well i spent a few weeks putting this one together it took sooooo much longer than i thought it would, but as you know, a few of us many of us on jwnet spend way too much time fighting the "watchtower power" hehe.

here's a couple paragraphs:.

So I had been thinking about how hard it can be to tell the difference between a high quality product, the "genuine article", and a knockoff or an inferior product recently. Well sometimes the imitator can be so hard to distinguish that even an expert can be fooled at first. To me it's like that when we are in the Jehovah’s Witness structure- we are told what to believe, given a very well-thought out schedule of all the things we should be doing, etc.

There are two lengthy meetings per week, field service at least once or twice on the weekend, family study night, cleaning of the Kingdom Hall every couple months or even more often, and more. There is the reading of the three monthly issues of the Watchtower and Awake, and now there is the reading of the extra online content at the official website of Jehovah’s Witnesses, JW.org as well. On a yearly basis there are two assemblies and one District Convention to attend, two visits of the circuit overseer (sometimes three even) and on and on it goes.

How could we ever stop and really examine our belief system in fine detail to see if it indeed is that genuine article, or a knockoff in disguise?

Not anymore...

We are back to buying used copies for hundreds of dollars again. Why can't someone publish this book reasonably and abundantly so more can get their hands on it?

It's a travesty IMO and I don't understand what's going on with Ray's legacy. At least most can download the audiobook and PDF off the net, but hard copies, real books (or a kindle/nook version) would be so helpful for many. If it was $30 for new copies I'd buy a couple extra ones on my next paycheck.

2013 District Convention Headquarters Addresses, Dates, List!

2013 district convention headquarters, addresses-united states and canada..this list is 10 pages long containing the addresses and above some of the locations you will see dates, such as, (june 15-18) or something like that.

i think those dates indicate when the convention will be held at that location.

help me out if i am wrong on that.

Would a downtown NY public protest against shunning help or harm the Watchtower Corp?

so i was having an interesting thought the other night -- albeit probably not original, but interesting.

what would be accomplished if thousands of us banded together and held a huge protest of the issue of shunning family right behind the governing body's headquarters (25 columbia heights) in brooklyn bridge park?

the shunning of non-believing family is a strong issue that i'm sure everyone of us could get behind 100%.

When I was a Beth-hell-ite in 1990 there was a huge demonstration- at least 50 people IMO.

I called in sick that day, was at my 7th floor 124 Columbia Heights room and I remember watching out the window. There was a guy on a megaphone and I recall being scared and wondering what it all meant. There were people walking around with sandwich signs saying things like "I was a JW elder ask me how I got saved", etc. it was surreal. They were also carrying a casket it was weird and it didn't make sense at the time.

One more splinter in my mind that pricked my conscience though...
