  i'm predicting the war with iraq will begin on 22 february 2003.. by definition the war will have begun with bombing of bagdad and or troops moving into the country.

  if there is a dispute, simon will be the judge.

  well it looks like we will be sending our troops home, as we dont have to worry about iraq retaining, creating, or using weapons of mass destruction anymore (wmd).

  the iraqi dictator has sent a note to the chief u. n. weapons inspector informing him that he (has just now enacted legislation making wmd's illegal.

  this wonderful news was announced by a gleeful hans blix just today at a televised meeting at the u.n.

  what bible is true?

  as most of you know my hubby is in the jw.

  cult and every morning he reads his daily text.i asked why he needed that daily dont you know how to conduct yourself from day to day?he goes on to say ..it's bible passages,i said why not read the bible..he say's this text breakes it down and makes the daily reading easier ,read it see for yourself.well i did just that i read passages in it and checked what it said to a bible.

  hum o'k it matches his bible but this other bible my daughter gave me from her lutherin church it's different which one do i believe?when asking my hubby he said all bibles change some words so it's easier to understand but ,the new world translation, is the closest there is to the origional.my question what bible is right, what bible can i use to compare that he would see his is wrong.one that is non denominational that suits a certain religion.

  KLS, I wouldnt worry too much about the translations. Yes, the NWT the JW's use do muddy up some key passages to fit their own doctrine, but the basic message of the bible is still there in my opinion. (Salvation in Christ only)

  Very true. At the end of the day, bibles throughout the ages have been slyly altered in one way or another for whatever reason, mostly to fit messed up doctrine. The WTS are not the first to do this, and they probably wont be the last. Who knows for sure that this hasnt already been done on the text it is translated from? How can you trust earthling man to keep anything sacred?

  The only true Word of God is Christ, John 1:1, John 1:14, Revelation 19:13. Ask your friend to go to him instead of fulfilling John 5:39-40.

  just what is it that saddam hussein has done/is alleged to have done... to warrant a war by the us upon his country, and the most certain result of mass murder of innocent men, women and children, as a result?.

  now, i also ask you: please be careful in your response, as all i want are facts, versus emotional vengefulness... and such facts that say this is what he has done so that the us is rightfully entitled to war against iraq.

  to that end, then, i would also ask that you make sure your reply takes into account that the us itself has not done similar... or equal... anywhere else in the world... so as to warrant the same result on upon them.. i await your response... and i truthfully bid you peace.. sj, a slave of christ, who is still trying to understand the "thoughts"... of earthling man... though i serious doubt i will....

  I feel compassion for Saddam and the Iraqi people. He is being made to pay for his past sins all over again by a majorly oppressive group of BULLIES for oil. As you say, mass murder will be committed by the west for money, and oil.

  I feel contempt (JAH forgive me, I just get so angry), for Bush and Blair. Watching them on TV, lying and spreading propaganda, IGNORING the people's views that THIS WAR IS HYPOCRITICAL AND WRONG. They are going to kill an unknown amount of people for what? A bit more money? Better economy? It is wrong.

  I have this gut feeling that Bush is totally in the wrong and his course of action is the worst possible one.

  The case they put against Saddam is nothing. What Saddam has done, in comparison is nothing. Saddam is not allowed nukes or chemical or bio weapons. The West not only have them, but use them.

  Thankfully many other nations are now starting to stand up to Bush and his bullshit, and give Iraq a chance through the proper UN channels. The more countries that quit letting Bush get his way, the less chance he will be able to get away with what he is planning.

  However I fear that this will escalate beyond all my worst fears. Bush is the real nutter on the world scene, not Hussein, and if North Korea really do go ahead with their pre-emptive strike (and who can blame them, they are looking out for their own interests against a bully nation), well the rest doesnt need spelling out does it?

  I hope that Bush (and Blair) comes to realise his errors and turns from his present course of action. I hope so for the sake of the millions of innocent who will suffer at his hands otherwise. He is comparable to Hitler IMO.

  There is one very appropriate modern proverb that Bush should remember: what goes around comes around. Cos it most certainly does.

  Why do the innocent have to suffer?

  Has MDS read this and done as Christ asked?

  I have been reading his past posts and it seems to me that his predictions are not failing..... now I am not going to follow MDS as I am fairly sure he is not who he claims to be, and anyone else who is following him or thinking of it, I am not going to tell you what to think, I am just going to say, ask Christ to show you the truth, dont listen to what a person says regarding truth, listen to Christ.

  False prophets are not just those who prophecy and the prophecies fail. They are also those who prophecy and they come to pass but they have not been appointed by God as a prophet.

  Dont forget that false prophets can also prophecy things that DO come to pass..... well considering they have been "part" of the UN in whatever guise its not hard for them to twist what they see to fit in with prophecy, which we all know is a particular talent of theirs.
