I dont think I ever actually believed it..... I rarely look to the future anyway. I guess I just wanted all the bad shit to end and it was one of the "carrots" that misled me into following that group.

OK this not sleeping thing has got to stop
by Lady Lee inwell it's not that i'm not sleeping - i am - just only 2-3 hours at a time.. when i try to stay awake i start feeling nauseous from the lack of sllep and have to go lie down.
then sleep for a couple of hours then the pain in my feet starts up and i am awake.. i just spent the second whole night this week wide awake.
then during the day i am falling asleep for two hours then awake for an hour and back to sleep.

Is the Bible Just B.S.?

it sure sounds like it to me; jw doctrine more or less scared me into thinking that god is going to kill all persons whom he/she thinks is not doing his will.
my question is, how can god kill someone for not being "christian", or following the bible out of sheer ignorance?

The bible is full of shit. It was compiled by a corrupt religious organisation to control the masses. It originated from a corrupt religion that Christ came down to correct. Even the bible itself says that it is not the word and that its not the place to find "life" etc... so all these people who follow it obviously are not aware of the majority of whats in it or just block out all the bad, contradictory parts.
Most of the stuff is written / edited by men to excuse their evil deeds and to scare the masses into order. An excuse to kill. An excuse to rape. An excuse to steal. An excuse to do all sorts.
Why hasnt God stepped in? Anyone knows that the god portrayed in these so-called "holy" books is not the true God. He has been distorted beyond all means into a monster. Man has become the image of THAT monster, not the true God.
There ARE truths still in the bible.... but IMO its best to not bother much with it because we dont exactly know where the truth ends and the distractions begin....

Identity Cards ... good or bad idea?
by Simon inone of the questions in the uk at the moment is whether we shoudl have identity cards or not.. the government, who wants them, claims they will "help to prevent terrorism".
spain and the usa both have identity cards and they have had big terrorist attacks.
it's never been explained exactly how they will stop terrorists.. my personal opinion is that they are just another government play to control people, another form of tax (you can bet it will cost us to get them) and i have my doubts as to whether the government could run a large scale it project of that magnitude (given it's track record) and whether the estimated 3bn won't end up many years late and at least 10bn over-budget.

We are not free as long as the government, and other corporations, can track our every move.
They know what you buy from supermarket's with the Reward Cards or if you pay by Credit / Debit card. They know where you travel to if you use the new bus passes. They can track our movements with mobile phones, they can monitor our calls, read our text messages, even see our phone books. They can see into our PC's. BLUETOOTH IS DANGEROUS. They claim this is to save us from terrorism?
IT IS WRONG. There are millions of people in this country, and a few, a VERY small minority, that are a real danger. Its like at school when the teacher kept back the entire class because one idiot misbehaved. It was unfair, punishing everyone for the crime of one.
Our very basic rights to privacy and freedom are being trampled all over. And those who oppose it will be labelled rebels and dealt with. If you refuse the new ID's you will be screwed. Lets see shall we? If they are mandatory, the price you pay for refusing will be being classed as a terrorist. And you know what that means... imprisonment with no trial or rights. Treated like shit and not a human being. Doesnt matter if you are innocent or guilty, they can do what the fuck they want to you.
Think I am over reacting? Just wait and see...

Yes you are right, its all about control.
They can track OAP's now. They are given smart card buspasses..... the implications on this are bad, as the government can keep track of people, where they go, how long for, its disgusting and wrong. Soon all bus passes will be like this. If it costs a bit extra to remain anonymous...then so be it.
It will be the same with the new ID cards.
Soon you wont be able to buy or sell without them..... (should set the religious nuts off on one)

I don't think the Bible even *needs* distorting and twisting to make excuses for evil acts - it's there in black and white: abuse women, kill your children, commit genocide and God will love you.
I am sure that it wasnt quite that bad originally..... in fact, im sure it was a LOT different and bloodthirsty oppressive leaders decided to change it to further their own agenda. They had to rape and abuse women cos any woman in their right mind would tell them where to go. They had to oppress children to show off their "power" and look "big" in front of people. Its human nature. I fully reject all of those evil writings, and if I am condemned for it, then so be it. Well... religion sucks. So do people. You only need to turn the news on to see that.....
