last tuesday my elderly uncle was taken to the hospital by ambulance in extreme pain.
while he was in er a number of tests and bloodwork were ordered.at approx 3:30 wednesday morning my aunt called me in tears.
the test had revealed three large growths.. .
The Radiologist may have his opinion, I just don't share it. My uncle was healed by the Lord as a result of the many prayers that were made on his behalf and nobody will ever convince me otherwise.
Faith is a beautiful thing. God healed your uncle and not the dying children in Africa. Praise the Lord.
Let Jesus "drape" our hearts and let us "seek" no longer!

Anyways, for what it's worth, those are the experiences I personally had. I had a chance to sit and talk with Swingle, Klein, Schroeder and Splane on separate occassions. I'll share those experiences at a later time. -TheSheppard

I was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I'm 38. In that time frame, I've never heard of something this absurd from the podium at a Kingdom Hall so I questioned it. I asked the author of the opening post what congregation this took place in. He or she would not say. -Celestial

It's disgusting that these talks occur and that ANY " marking " is done. I bet the young man or woman who was " marked " was not an elders son or daughter though. There is a definite double standard in regards to " marking " someone for bad association. -flipper
You nailed it. I've seen the double standard so many times, its ridiculous. I think what irked the elders was that they gave him offical elder advice on leaving his worldy friends. So, they can't have anyone challenge their authority. The elder even went on to say, "Well, someone might see it as a personal matter. After all, one might reason, 'It's my life and I get to choose my friends', but this is not so!"
