Indeed thats just what Witnesses are. Everyone hates them. Is there any other group in "Christendom "that are hated as much as these.? They do seem to at least try to do what the Bible says in certain areas where other so called Christians dont really care if they follow the Bibles teaching or not. They have said things in the past and then changed their minds about them ...is that a fault or is it a good thing to put something right that you think is wrong? The Bible was written under inspiration but it certainly wasnt translated under inspiration Take King james version 1610 translated from Latin a good attempt ..yes but not perfect by any means. As time progresses more knowledge has been gained better translations have been written ...have " Christendom " changed and adopted to meet the changes.... NO theyre still stuck in the dark ages!! They are afraid that they will look bad or lose face, the witnesses however are not afraid to make adjustments as they learn more....surely they are showing that they have a humble attitude to be able to be taught. I must admit when talking to them they certainly are not afraid to use their Bibles, their Bibles are well " thumbed" theyre not gold bound and in pristine condition, well done the JW ..A bible should certainly look like as if it is being USED ! No better way to get to know what its all about. How would anyone get to know what its all about. I mean as to what God wants us to do. Surely it ("the bible" ) would have to make sense to us. Is it written in a way thats impossible to understand?
1. Did God intend humans to live on earth forever? well he made them here and only when they sinned they would die so theyhad a real choice ,if they had chosen wisely God would NOT have let them die. Adam would have been alive today I guess!! ( is that a reasonable thought process?
2. Immortal soul? well I have read the Bible inside out and there is nowhere , nowhere AT ALL does scripture state that man "has or is" an immortal soul. In fact IT SAYS THE OPPOSITE it says the soul dies . it says the soul is mortal. Paul said "the mortal must put on immortality" showing that no human possess any spark of immortality! If you need to put it on then you couldnt have had it in the first place ( is that a reasonable thought process?)
