  There is more going on here than meets the eye.

  Twice now you have used the phrase " . . . to be used as an identifier." Could it be that you too are looking for this specific individual that is to be a "leader"?

  Your posts are cryptic, as though to communicate messages to a certain individual or individuals, but hiding them in other messages.

  For what it's worth, one of the reasons that I'm deeply interested in this line of thought is that using such tactics as codes or secret tests to determine the authenticity of someone, whether of the anointed class or as the next leader, or anything else, and expecting Jehovah to miraculously indicate his choice --- flies directly in the face of the scriptures. This is in three or four different ways too.

  But perhaps this is where you are coming from too. When Jehovah doesn't answer in the manner they are hoping for, someone else could be chosen that should never be considered.

  As I recollect, there is more than one place in the Bible where the "responsible ones" picked a leader, only to have Jehovah anoint another in his stead.

  By the way, I've always loved the name Linda. When I was young, I always planned on giving one of my daughters that name. However, then I met a Linda, fell in love with her, and now we've been married for nearly 42 years.

  How many Artists here? Which field of Art?

  i know i asked this absolutely yonks back, then by the name of celtic, but with so many newcomers here i thought no harm but to ask once again.. how many artists do we have here or working in art related fields including film, music, theatre, environment, gardening, sculpture, graphic design, illustration, fine art, photograpy etc etc?.

  I'm either drawing baths or I'm drawing flies.

  Actually, I have a book in the works, and years ago was a fairly decent bassoon player. Ever try Bach's Fugue in G-minor? Sixteenth notes from here to the horizon. Thought my mouth would fall off. I was in a quartet that played it in contests etc.

  Again though, please have some patience with me on this.

  I think many of the "date" threads on the board are mainly speculation, and while I don't think there is anything wrong with that, I"ve usually had something else that fascinated me much more. As a result, I've never really delved into them.

  However, you touch on something here that I find absolutely fascinating. Amazing was recounting on one of his threads a while back of a code that he was supposed to know if he was truly of the heavenly calling and how his hesitation in giving the right answer was construed to mean that he was an imposter. That was the first I've heard of any "codes", and I've been in or around this organization all my life. My first time card was in December of 1946, so that was a while back.

  Now you hint of another code. Are you on the level here, or is this speculation? Also, if this is real, how did you become aware of them?

  I realize that you may have sound reason to not answer, as recounting such experiences are sometimes dangerous and may reveal your identity. However, if you do feel free and are willing, I'd really like to know. My email is open too, and you are more than welcome to use it.

  hi lawyers of the gov body!.......how are you?.........by now there must be at least one of you that realizes the gov body's position on this issue is morally wrong........they are harboring pedophiles, and children are being molested and victimized........and you are defending them!........do you feel jehovah wants you to do that?...........think of the little children.........and what jehovah wants you to do.......... do you feel a loyalty to the gov body because they put you through law school?

  Legal Question: How Strong is Barbara's Case?

  a question for the legal beagles out there:.

  since the watchtower thugs have told the press during the dateline repartee that barbara anderson was not being taken to task for her anti-molestation iniitatives, but alleged that she was being tried for ``allegations or serious sins'' unrelated to her activism, how strong a case would she have in court?.

  bear in mind that barbara and the others of the dateline four say they did nothing more than speak for the protection of children and then publicly challenged the wt to publicly state their accusations and evidence, and that they would indemnify them against any charges arising therefrom.. so.... if they call her a sinner, say that her sin has nothing to do with whistle-blowing and is serious enough to merit expulsion -- as serious as adultery or theft, yet refuse to accept her challenge to show the world the basis of their charges if they are held harmless, how is that not libel and therefore actionable?

  While I am certainly NOT an expert in law, there are a few things I'd like to comment on.

  I must agree with those who say that the climate is changing. If the Organization is really so invulnerable, then why are they going to all of the trouble of reorganizing their corporations, etc., so as to make it harder to sue them? They are telling us something here, and I feel that we should listen closely and find out why they are feeling so vulnerable. What do they know that we don't? Find out and we will have an Achilles' heel that can be exploited.

  Secondly, I agree with Farkel. If we look at them and give up in hopelessness due to their imposing front, then we've given them the victory by default. Anything can be conquered. Sometimes though, it takes practice and repetition to get it right. There is no "silver bullet". Each case, whether won or not, is a lesson for us in this "course" that we are taking.

  Third: Dutchie, I know that what you are saying has merits. Speaking personally though, I feel uncomfortable in pursuing the course you suggest. Barbara is a strong woman and her public image should continue to reflect that. I sense that she will lose more than she gains by crying and playing the victim card. Rather, she should stand up in moral outrage, publically call them a pack of damned liars, and demand they show proof of their allegations or be sued. Play the moral high ground --- and the media ---for all it is worth. Win or lose, they lose.

  Finally, I've said from square one that individuals will not be given the proper respect and will be waved off as inconsequential. Class action is what will do the job. In the meantime, attrition, attrition, attrition! Make them feel they are fighting the wind.

  Think of it this way: If Alvin Hansen of Ashland, Oregon came within a gnat's eyebrow of winning $65,000,000 from them AS AN INDIVIDUAL, how much better would our chances be as a group?

  Personally, I hope that Barbara throws open her suit to all of us. I want $1 million a year myself for the 15 years I've been DFed on false charges. If 500 of us sign up for such a suit and demand a couple of billion dollars in compensation, that's going to make some real waves.

  Just for the fun of it, one of the things I'd like to sue them for is malpractice. Let's see if we could bring this over from the practice of medicine to the practice of religion. I'd like to see them scramble to protect their butts from some things that they haven't faced before.

  Bear with me here a moment. I like your writing and appreciate your insight into things, but your original post is so criptic that I can't understand your purpose of posting it, and I'm interested.

  I'm not familiar with your story. Perhaps if I was, then it would make sense to me. Would you be willing to help me out a little?

  I thought that maybe there was supposed to be a picture that goes along with it, but if there was, it didn't come through.

  P.S. I downloaded your thoughts on why Jehovah was allowing these things to come on the Organization and comparing it to the times in the Nation of Israel when Jehovah withheld his protection due to their misconduct. I'm passing it on to others --- ones who need to consider this themselves as they are still in.
