  Covering up bathroom mirrors at the assemblies!!!

  this was one of the craziest things i remember about the summer conventions.

  i would go into the sister's bathrooms and the mirrors would all be taped up with brown paper so that we couldn't look at our reflections.

  were were amish or something?

  Some convention centers were so overcrowded in the ladies rooms the sisters coming out of the stalls had no where to wash their hands because the sinks were all taken up with other sisters who were busy combing their hair or putting on make-up. When a crowded bathroom filled with sisters of all ages and children of all ages became impossibly overcrowded it was necessary at times to cover the mirrors in order to allow those sisters with small children and the older sisters to simply wash their hands.

  A simple "Excuse me, I need to wash my hands" might have worked too.

  But then again, the brown-paper-covered-mirrors probably cut down on a lot of crazy bathroom catfights.

  Oh yes, I remember that.

  Yeah, like, we sisters were so mesmerized by our reflections -- just staring and staring at our pretty lil' faces -- that we caused MAJOR traffic jams during our "meetin' in the ladies' room". So something just had to be done to cut down on those loooong lines in front of the ladies' bathrooms.

  And yes, we did tear down those badboys when we felt the need to, LoL.

  Morsels of Lard

  we have a guy who comes by every now and then selling homemade tamales....those wonderful little morsels of lard...beef, pork, chicken and bean & cheese...i got the beef...and scarfed down uuummmm 5 of them .

  may the god's of fat have mercy on my ass!!!!!!!!!!

  so what do you have trouble resisting??

  JW Jam Session at my house!

  a couple of weeks ago two jw teens came over to visit our son, they had all been good friends when we were in the cult.

  anyway, since we have not attended since 2000, and the elders and local jws seriously avoid us, i was quite surprized these two came over to say hi.

  a couple of nights later, they show up with electric guitars (our son plays drums) and they jam downstairs for a few hours.

  In the case of ignorant little shites, yes, sometimes it is better to just walk away.

  In the case of ignorant big shites (ones that are in a position to harm me), sometimes I have gone that extra mile and not only shut up, but I also tuned out and turned off.

  dear jehovahs witnesses and ex-jw's .. many of you may not be aware of what life is like in a military state.

  i would like to share a part of the shame that jehovah's witnesses elders in southa africa have to bear.. in south africa white males during the 70's and 80's were conscripted into the army from age 16.. during the 80's at the age of 16 i was conscripted.

  at age 17 i was sentenced as a minor and was told i would have serve to six years prison.

  A very moving, gut-wrenching post, Nasdam.

  As a JW woman, I never had to face what so many young men in JWs have had to face (regarding this subject).

  I can't begin to imagine the pain of such an experience. I'm so sorry for what you, and many others, have gone through.

  if you have not a care for human life, and would rather try to blow up thousands of people if given the chance, would you call yourself human?

  the reason i ask is, would you have any problem putting a gun to a known terrorist head and pulling the trigger?

  iono if i could do it yet, because i haven't been in that situation.

  Jehovah's Witness prank -- Reno 911

  garcia and the black guy on reno 911 stopped two guys guns drawn, felony arrest procedures really aggresively and were very agitated and nervous sounding as they forced these guys to the ground reciting the apb and suspect derscription.. garcia ordered one to toss his satchel as he was on his ground.

  the other guy checked it out and he said "its ok false alarm they're jehovah's witnesses, its ok false alarm.".

  "ok boys sorry for the misunderstanding have a nice day.".
