i couldn't help but smile at the news last night.
here in san diego, 3 guys are being chased by the police while driving their stolen car.
the fog gets quite thick, so the police stop the chase, but then realize that the car they were chasing pulled over.
I am not saying all car thieves deserve death, but for all the victims of all crimes out there, I do feel this is a bit of a victory.
I'm with CountryGuy on this one. I don't understand your glee at this news, but whatever gets you through the night, Freedom96. You're certainly entitled to your feelings. (this is one victim of violent crime who doesn't view the death of a teenage car thief as any sort of victory, but what do I know...)
man jumped from truck following argument.

(ksl news) police now say an argument caused a 21-year-old man to jump from a moving truck in south jordan.

This is terrible. I can only imagine how heart-broken the family (and especially the brother in the above quote) must be feeling right now. Very sad.

I think it is great that your husband is so supportive. With a friend like that, there's no doubt that you can get through this.
I have some relatives who are estranged because of the isolationist way I was raised as a JW. And it can be tough because there are a few who have the inability to wrap their brains around the idea that I have rejected the way in which I was raised. And yeah, it can hurt, but now I am at the point where I just don't have the time or inclination to worry about how to gain their approval now that I am out. They'll either come around eventually -- or they won't.
I know you have the additional complication of things done while under the influence. That's a difficult situation, because some people whose trust has been damaged never forgive, as is their right -- but you do what you can to make it right. After that, stay on the positive side of things like your husband says, keep your chin up and keep on keeping on, you know? Always remember that there is something special and lovely and good that he sees in you, and that can make all the difference during tough situations like what you're experiencing right now.
our son william grant was born last wednesday 2/11/05 at 20:43, weighing 9lb 2oz (4140g).
we are both really well.. it wasn't the birth experience i had hoped for - on my long list of things i didn't want to happen, the only things i avoided were induction, pethidine, episiotomy (i pushed too efficiently, no time to do it!
) and caesarean.

my sister and i have become estranged because of the tension and hard feelings around this shunning of mom.
it has been several years since i have seen her or heard from her.
This is why there exist some JWs who won't shun a disfellowshipped family member -- they don't advertise this fact -- but they are perceptive enough to know that eventually, the shunners get shunned and end up missing out on a whole lifetime of getting to know nephews, nieces, grandkids, etc.
But isn't it sad to belong to an organization that encourages such alienation of affection in the first place?
I'm very sorry this "sister" upstaged the funeral with her sick, sad behavior. Your mom deserves so much better (You all do).

i hardly knew her .

i heard from zazu today that sadly larc passed away this morning.
he died peacefully in his sleep of heart failure.
