  a thought experiment:.

  scene a: imagine you're at the controls of a trolley and the brakes have failed.

  you're approaching a fork in the track at top speed.

  Assuming that the emergency secondary brake system also failed (what are the chances of that, LoL) I would activate what is known to trolley industry insiders as the "C.C.B.B." system.

  First scenario - I would engage the emergency secondary brake system in case of primary brake system failure.

  Second scenario - I would run into a phone booth, change into my superhero costume and save the day. (I would've changed into my superhero suit in the first scenario, except that you need two hands to do that.)

  my roommate brought home this new ice cream last night, dreyers no sugar added, fat free chocolate fudge sweetened with splenda.

  i was intrigued.

  chocolate ice cream with no fat and low cal, how good could this taste?

  Earnest,

  I understand that for many, the preaching work is a "feel good" exercise -- and that they also feel it is a display of their faith in God and love for their fellow humans. It is just too bad that for too many, the preaching work is no shield against incest and rape.

  now we know why our great grandfathers when introduced to a woman, would kiss her hand.

  they weren't being polite, they were "measuring her up" .

  the next time you're nibbling your lover's fingers, or scoping hands for wedding bands, you might want to pay more attention to length.. any women here, want to "measure in"?

  since leaving the jdubs, i find i enjoy lighting up a pipe in the evening, or sometimes the occasional cigar.

  tried cigarettes but i don't care for them much, myself.

  check out the official jw-media site and find their 'official' response to the accusations of child abuse within its organisation.. they simply feature this quote:.

  "people didn't have the body of knowledge 18 or 20 years ago to say that this is something that will harm your child emotionally, if you don't address it.

  parents didn't know the seriousness ... and the long-term effects.".
