please help me help a friend
by emanresu ini am not a jw nor have i ever been one, but i joined this forum because a close firend of mine is.. we met and became good friends in the senior year of high school, and i didn't know what it meant to be a jw at the time, all i knew was that they were another christian denomination so i let it slide.. .
it was only after sometime after graduation that i began to really take my faith seriousely, and in the process i decided to do some research on watchtower beliefs, and i was actually scared for her.
now i knew enough by now that if i tried to confornt her on this issue, that would be the last i heard of her so i tried as best i could to not "blaspheme".

Fiance's Mother is a JW
by Theseus ini am not a jehovah's witness and my fiance is a former jw.
i was also raised as a [insert generic ideological confine here], however, i managed to break away and started thinking freely, emancipated my emotions etc... suffice it to say, i understand the hardships of rebelling against an oppressive ideology against serious emotional and physical odds.
my fiance's struggle was just as difficult.

How can the WTS be short of money ?
by the max inso the society have a hedge fund, some(50%) shares in a usa company who specsialise in weapons delivery systems , has a shares portfolio that includes cigerettes.it buys up real estate in one of the worlds most lucerative locations ny,uses free labour to refurbish these properties along with its tax free status and then sells them on at a profit.it further extends it real estate portfolio by lending money at intrest ,for the building of more kh, again built with free labour and tax breaks, which are never owned by the cong,s who built them, but belong wts.
i am not an economist,though i would be hard pressed to come up with a better economic model than this, also it purports to be politically nuetral, so hopes to operate globally without restrictions, infact the (workers) have to pay the society ,by way of mag sales and donations, in order to give their free labour, no trade union protection or minimum wage.
g--gle, p--si,ya-oo, micro---t, would kill to have these advantages in the market place..

New to this forum and few thoughts.
