Egypt, Assyria, Babylonian, Medo/Persian, Greece, Rome, United States/United Kingdom. This scenario fits the statue of different elements from Gold to clay. My question here is, weren't there other world powers? Not a history buff here, but, weren't Spain, France, The Mongol Dynasties, Turkey, Germany, Japan and many other Eastern European and Asian civilizations world powers at one time or another? Why just select the initial seven and omit the rest. I would really like some input on this since I think that it is just the WTBT$ that uses only these world powers, and if they do, Why? . Is there any historical evidence supporting just the first seven world powers while ignoring the rest or is this just another JW teaching? This question always burned my stomach during my existence as a JW. Thanks for your help.

No. I had all of the sex and booze while I was in. That was never an issue as I was the ultimate rebel. The many rules did it for me though. Yep... too many rules.

Male Domination = No Judge Deborah
by metatron ini had to laugh at today's watchtower, when it spoke of "judge barak".. it's this sort of thing that tells you that their "scholarship" is non-existent.
the record in judges clearly states that 'deborah was judging israel' - oh, and it repeats the point because 'israel came to her to be judged'.
..... brave barak told her he wasn't going into battle unless she went with him.. no judge deborah.

Judging Anezthy ~ I have been an on/off again Witness for over 20 years. My mom's name is Deborah... Even today If she say's NO! It's no.... and I aint't even gonna dare to argument with her. If my mom Deborah says she ain't going to battle... I'm not going to battle. Just a joke.... my mom Deborah couldn't give a rats behind for the WTBT$. Indy I love you.... Wake up!
by anezthy ini was just watching the rerun of reruns of indiana jones and temple of doom.... as willie scott is being encaged (disfellowshipped) and sent to her firey doom (eternal death by jehovah), while indiana jones has this evil smirk on his face (gee.. i'm glad it's not me and it's her burning her ass).... the hero is short round... "indy.. i love you... wake up!
" then, short round sticks a burning torch into indy's stomach (would have worked for me) and indy wakes up and returns to being the hero (many, many friends who have woken up to reality are heros).
my favorite line: let's get out of here....all of us!!!

What has helped you avoid the doctrine roundabout and forever chasing your tail?
by Fernando ini was a third generation born-in with no alternative reality, reference points or framework.. for more than forty years i was taught that the highest stakes (eternal life) main game is played on the doctrine playing field (supremacist ethnocentrism).
my eternal future apparently depended on which side of the trinity, hellfire and immortal soul doctrines i played.. apparently if i believed the watchtower way, even if it changed, i was in "the faith" and "the truth".
the same for legalism (supremacist self-righteousness attained by following the supposedly "right" but ever changing and inconsistent rules).. around 6 years ago, and for the first time in my life, one person asked me to explain what "the gospel" is in one word.
