murrieta - a 40-year-old mother of two was killed in her murrieta home monday morning, authorities said.

coroner's officials identified the woman as isabelle jarka.

There are many people who hide behind the guise of being a Jehovahs Witness in order to do things and hope they get away with it. Like converting to JWism while in jail in order to appear to be contrite and reborn and get out sooner.

I am horrified at what this man did, horrified that he would not only do it for the insurance money he so obviously was thinking he was going to get, but to do this to his CHILDREN...to leave them motherless!!

Sure he was desperate...desperate people do desperate things but if its your family's welfare you are concerned about you get an insurance policy on YOURSELF and go "have an accident" so your family can be taken care of. You dont off your WIFE! He should get the death penalty...definitely an eye for an eye with NO chance of parole. Pure greed.

This was SOOOO premeditated and not at all a spur of the moment act after an argument. At some point he had to make arrangements for the oldest not to be at home...had to chisel away the door frame on the side door to make it look broken in to which he probably had to do beforehand, or even WORSE while his wife lay dead in the house, and he had to concoct this "I was at the store! Here see? Here is the receipt with the time stamp on it!" alibi for her time of death. For this guy to think that anybody with half a brain would buy this story....does the man own a TV? Has he never seen CSI or any of the forensic programs on TRUtv???

Changes in Elder arrangement?

there are continuing rumors about changes that are going to be made in the elder arrangement.

while these are still only rumors, i wish .

to repeat that the society must be under pressure to make legally motivated changes to the elder structure.. first, the appointment of elders seems to be much more direct than the appointment of most priests or pastors in common religions.. that might be a problem leading directly to the governing body.. more than that, there is a clearly defined hierarchy going up from local elders thru the c.o.

Hey this worked for the mormons didnt it? Like a couple of times? When they were in trouble for bigamy and then in trouble for racism? Suddenly "Gawd" gave their prophets this new info JUST IN TIME to make changes to save the church from huge bounteous lawsuits and reprisals! Hell Gawd is really good with economic issues with regard to his cults isnt He? Handy that way. I mean just in time he stopped the manufacture and sale of hoagies and shasta at the district conventions, made the publications paperbacks and got rid of that extra pesky meeting to save GAS for his people didnt he?

Oh what a wonderful Jehoober Gawd they have. Im sure He will come through on this too. Jehoober has a Law Degree too you know. the caller inquired of mrs.chickennest if she was disfellowshipped?

the caller identified herself with a name we didn't recognize.

when my wife indicated that she was no longer a witness, the call was ended by the caller.

Graduation and elders meeting!

hi everyone, i'm not new here just haven't posted in a while.

for those who remember me i'm graduating from college on wednesday!!!!

i'm very happy but there's still a dark cloud (pardon the dramatic-ness) i am still with my non-jw boyfriend of almost three years and i've let my parents know that we want to get married (next month) and they went and told the elders(they did it kinda behind my back) who now want to meet and talk with me!

Did I miss something? When did it become a disfellowshipping offense to date and marry a worldly person? Or are they trying to get you on the "appearance of evil" tactic that your car has been seen at his apartment overnight blah blah blah...

There was an MS in our hall whose wife was dying of heart disease. She studied with me, was baptized and died in the beginning of December. Huge funeral. A year to the day she died we were making some cards the kids and I for this brother thinking he would be thinking about her and sad and we were stopped by a sister who said Dont! Hes not pining away for her! He is MARRIED already! I about dropped my TEETH! MARRIED I said??? When to WHOM?? and WHERE IS SHE?

Oh, she said....he was married by January 1st! He married a woman WHERE HE WORKS at the bus company! The elders have known about this since they got married, she said. And that brother had ZERO reproof ZERO repurcussions from what he did! And you know damn good and well he was seeing this chick for who knows how long before they married LESS than a month after his wife was even dead! This brother was in the book study I had at my HOUSE and every week he was all about WAITING ON JEHOVAH for this or that. Fricking HYPOCRITE! I actually called him on the phone...I was furious! And his reply to what I said was that he was sorry but he HAD to marry her in order not to commit fornication! Helloooooo....and how many available and WILLING sisters are there in the hall that you could have married brother?? He replied with a "well I DO have studies with her when she is willing and I hope SOME DAY she will join me at the hall. "

So oh HELL no you cant be on the carpet for seeing and marrying a worldly person!

How about telling them that you just spent four HARD years working towards this graduation and you dont need a bunch of dementor elders or your parents who should be CELEBRATING THIS TIME TOO by the way.....SUCKING THE JOY OUT OF IT!

Mom is gone

i'm not much of a poster here, but the passing of my mom on friday is as good a reason as any.. she was in deep, no doubt will be refered to as "faithful to the end" by those who eulogize her.

this new chapter in my life of course has me is a reflecive mood.

i'm sure when she was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago that her hope was that the "new system" would come before she succumbed.

Congratulations on soon becoming a grandma tho! The older I get the more I look forward to that and my kids are still living at home with me :)

he is listing himself as a writer and editor, never having served in any military action.

We've talked about this a lot lately. Growth means actual GROWTH in numbers, meeting attendance, hall builds, NEW baptized ones, and MORE publications not less and not having to look under rocks for people to count in the ranks....which is what they have been doing.

You know how when you were a kid you would see a plate of cookies and swipe one, then rearrange the plate to look like there arent any missing? The next guy doesnt know whats missing...but the guy who rearranged the plate does. The Society continues to try to puff themselves up to LOOK bigger but they are flat lining.

I dont care what their "numbers" say...they arent growing any more than they are able to predict when the END is coming....again.

Ah yes, the microcosm that is The Brotherhood of JWland. <sigh>

Forget the qualifications of Timothy and Titus....There are just so many bennies to being a servant. Having the perfect COILING technique for your mic cord. Handing out magazines to drooling sisters because you are 1 of 3 unmarried brothers left in the hall who are older than 17. Giving a talk even though you have a lisp and your suit is a hand me down. Giving the opening and closing prayers at all meetings. Knowing all the gossip in the entire hall and even the entire circuit. Being a "craig in a storm" to so many adoring sheep. Reading the watchtower paragraphs each Sunday because the rest of us are idiot who cant do it on our own. Being able to "stand up" for your talks. Being able to council ANY sister no matter how much older she is than you are. Keeping the territory cards in order in their re-purposed recipe box with the label gun plastic label on it. Parking cars at the Memorial. Sitting in on judicial committees so you can hear how once again Brother Slimeball was insisting on his pioneer wife giving him oral sex. Helping load and dispose of garbage during assemblies which requires that you remove your suit jacket and roll up your sleeves so we can admire your muscles, and you dont have to listen to the boring talks which is a plus. Having the leads in the drama and ALWAYS getting to be Jehoovers voice and sometimes Jehoover is from Australia :)
