there are 1000's who who hate this religion who are stuck ....inside it.
we work against you, we use our position to convince and sway those that still drink your koolaid.
we feed info to authorities who chase you, we warn off potiential converts by directing them to the real truth.
I don't believe there is room for personal judgements . . . without having all the facts, those are just generalised opinions.
In the 2 years between when I learned TTATT and had finally faded, we talked, and were talked to, by a lot of folks . . . more than 50 of whom all left the JW's as well. We might have lingered longer if someone hadn't got busted and started the witch-hunt. You can do a lot from inside . . . if you happen to find yourself there for a time.
I got a lot of satisfaction from reading that . . . even if the GB already have the memo.
what's that about huh?
i mean, i have been cussed out, called terrible names, and evil intent applied to my motives.
what's with these abusive believers?.
Atheists do wait until the believer starts thumping to thump back, but they do more than just destroy an inanimate cross. They go for the jugular of all religion and even the idea of God itself. Many are not content until faith is shaken or the believer has completely broken down emotionally. All in the name of retaliation to verbal attack? That's a whole lot more damaging than a believer asserting that atheists are blind and stupid.
Sab . . . when you let it shine . . . your honesty is quite compelling.
May I have a PM too? . . . the old persecution complex is starting to fire again.
sorry folks, i know the "candace conti case" is where all our time attention should be for now.
i just had this much less important issue on my heart and wanted to make a quick note of it, as i am struggling with remembering all the details as clearly afterward.. although i am a non-religious believer and simple follower of jesus, i have had some constructive interaction with atheists and agnostics on jwn.
i do enjoy learning more about their perspective.
The dynamics of the debates are most telling . . .
Believers invariably seek to validate and support each other while at the same time denying any connection to religion or any other form of religious belief (I can't speak for anyone else). Some object to even being seen as religious, and yet are still quite clear that their God is the BA/ME one portrayed in the Bible.
Yet the same group uses the term "Atheist" as if it were some organised counter-religion itself, that all non-believers have become automatically baptised into.
The mental calusthenics required to allay the CD is intertwined and matted into almost every line. The arguments are never refuted . . . only avoided or rejected. There's a big difference between the two . . . one provides for reasoned discussion and advancement of understanding, the other provides nothing beyond frustration and entrenchment.
By their fruits . . .

What is with abusive atheists?
Dunno . . . never actually met one.
so here i sat eating my father's day brunch and the knock at the door startled me.
i peaked and it was a man and teenaged boy in suits.
it was already like ninety degrees outside and they had on suit jackets....jws.
Top marks . . . . . . make them own it. It might wake a few up from thier dream.

amazing..
The hills are alive with the soung of music.
rick simons, candace conti's attorney, will be interviewed on the six screens of the watchtower conference phone line this evening.
there's a good chance that candace will join in, but that's not set in stone.
the host of the program, rick, told me to tell everybody that he is learning how to calm down and to do better on these conference calls.
Wow . . .
What a difference a day makes.
candace asked me to tell you thank you for all your kind expressions of support.
this really means a lot to her.
she wants you to know that she is coping well with all the stress and excitement, even though she's had years of anger and frustration because of being abused for so long, first by the molester, and then by the wt.
There's the sweet smell of justice in the air all over the world right now.
And you put it there for us to breathe in . . .
