I know an atheist who used to be a whore . . . she has no problem owning up to it.
She never owns up to being religious though . . . even though she was.

When they closed and then sold the branch in Spain - they TOOK all the $$ and shipped it to New York. . . . dreamgolfer
That's exactly what will happen here. Like all Bethels . . . it's built by the locals, and on some now very valuable land. The comment irked me as well . . . it's total bullshit and Monty knows it.

Yeah . . . "spiritual" is to "religious" what "escort" is to "whore."

How do I hear/feel God?

this is a serious question.. i know people that hear/feel god (and see postings about people's experiences), but i have not experienced this.

i have never heard anything audibly (or otherwise) nor "felt" anything inwardly.. i've prayed, read, quieted my thoughts, etc...but still nothing..

It gives a bit of a sales-pitch type description and photo.
What amused me, was the reason given by a WTS spokesman for the sale . . .
Monty Gower, NZ branch co-ordinator for Jehovah's Witnesses, says technological advancements in digital communication, publishing and translation methods, and the consolidation of some New Zealand operations in Australia, mean the organisation no longer needs such a large property.
"Jehovah's Witnesses are committed to maintaining a strong profile and presence in New Zealand and the funds released from the sale will be used in other charitable religious activities, particularly those which have strong community links," says Gower.
