This same song comforted me the last time this happened . . .
WTS is such an elusive enemy . . . and so hard to fight.
For Eric, and old friends, strangers too . . . who have fallen to this enemy of us all . . .
our friend, oompa, has passed away.
just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

gospel of jesus's wife is fake, claims expertscholar says papyrus fragment believed to provide evidence that jesus was married is a modern forgery.
karen king from harvard university holds the papyrus fragment that has four words written in coptic, which are believed to prove jesus was married.
we are lazy bastards.
Hehe . . . I remind myself of that every Sunday morning.

Hell, this hit's like a freight train.
This is something that has been a strong theme for me as some will know . . . always fighting it and still losing. I've lost more than a few brothers this way, and still trying to keep two men alive. And it still hits like a train. I'll remember Oompa's honesty . . . he wasn't always right, but he openly bared his struggle and trusted his friends. Sometimes the pain is just get's too big for even the strongest to bear.
My deepest sympathy to Eric's family, especially his kid's. Also his close friends.
Goodbye Oompa.
don't bother me with the josephus addendum.
i've already seen that debunked.. i am quite aware of the fact that the only evidence of jesus comes from his own followers who didn't even bother to write down his life for decades after jesus "died.
" don't know about you, but if i saw all that shit, i would have gone home and written three books about it that same day!.
Jesus was a Buddhist Monk who became a cult leader and then faked his own death . . .
There's way more evidence for this bullshit than for the Bible's bullshit.
This is good quality bullshit . . .

It's fun getting the atheists angry. . . . Christ Alone (page 1)
I'm surprised this got missed . . .
There you have the declared motive of this poster . . . this "Christian" poster. It's fun getting the Muslim's angry too don't ya think?
Just like a good Christian you bring not peace, but a sword. Wow, I really need Christ in my heart too!
But you've been kind enough to include his name in your moniker . . . just so's I don't forget.
Grace.
You remind me so much of my long since passed Grandmother . . . she had the courage to call it as she saw it, but had a heart big enough to sink the Titanic.
If you were the only flower in the world . . . it would still be a beautiful garden.
i have a question for the author of the website jwfacts.
as i was reading the sparlock article, i couldn't help but notice something seriously wrong:.
"the bible abounds in vivid fantasy, such as its many celestial descriptions, or the portrayal of warring kingdoms with imaginary beasts.. the sparlock message is confusing, as much for an adult as for a child, as the bible shows that god's followers practice magic, even if they are usually referred to as miracles.
Sorry if it's trite . . . but this thread's been a real hoot.
You say this thread was to expose a rhetorical fallacy. Yet you have just made one of the classic ones - the slippery slope argument. . . . jwfacts
recovery is actually very well versed in logical fallacies.
He learned it all by reading your website . . . ROFLMFAO.
id like to know what personally convinced you jws are wrong about a particular doctrine/practice, that they are not gods true.people and/or what made you leave emotionally/physically.

Watching two fellow Elders hit each other with their fists on one Elders front law . . . they were rivalling each other for the CBOE's position. One had the CO in his pocket . . . the other was favoured by the congregation. Both were douche-bags obsessed with control. My only regret is breaking it up . . . I should have let them beat the crap out of each other, but they fought like girls so it would have taken a while.
It was a new congo and I'd only accepted an appointment two months earlier . . . and stood down the following week. Shortest appointment in history probably, but that was the catalyst, a very small tip of a very large iceberg. 6 weeks later I shifted towns and began to probe . . . within 48 hours I knew it was a huge deception. One of the first sites I found was SilentLambs. I hung around for almost a year while my wife "transitioned" . . . and along with about 50 others who I corresponded with over that time . . . simply left.
Interestingly . . . I was called on once a month by the local COBE in the town to where I'd moved. He was quite happy to discuss my concerns. In time he confided how his daughter in another congo (a married Pioneer) had vicious gossip spread about her through jealousy. In time she suffered a breakdown and lost her baby . . . that congo lost 2 pioneers and the local congo here eventually lost it's COBE too.
the following is copied from the british humanist association site :.
" results of the 29th british social attitudes survey (bsa) have been released today, with 45.7% of respondents claiming that they do not belong to a religion.
' 45.7% of respondents to the 29th bsa said that they did not.
It's a heartening trend . . . and fairly rapid.

Magic relies on suggestion and belief to be successful. . . . st
True . . . as does religious delusion.
