  it's been 2 years since i left the borg yet only 3 weeks since i visited my first apostate site... the venerable freeminds.org.

  today i've been knocking myself on the head trying to figure out what the hell took me so long!!

  Depends what your point of reference is. I found this site after six years out, anger had long since dissapated. Being a JW will always be a large part of my life . . . no changing that . . . but I like a lot of the people here.

  If anything this forum takes me back as much as forward . . . but it's gratifying to be of some help and encouragement to those early in their journey and in a bad place. I helped more than a few people into the cult . . . seems only right to help a few out

  just an update on seismic activity here in christchurch.

  what's below is the seismometer drum for the last 24 hrs .

  Here we go again . . . 4.3 . . . 5.5 . . . 4.4 . . . 3.4 . . . 6.0 . . . 4.9 . . . all within an hour and a half, close and shallow. Very noisey and heavy shaking. More building collapse . . . multiple damage reports . . . no fatalaties reported yet, although just picked up news of several injuries. Aftershocks from the 6.0 coming thick and fast. My house is still standing. Ho-hum.

  it is about 5:15 in the am, cdt, here in alabama.. a bird is chirping; a rooster is crowing; the fans are humming.. i've got laundry and floors - i cooked on yesterday.. my daughter has kh meetings and brought-home work.. what about you?.

  I had my first encounter with JW's at my door! I was called an apostate!

  so, i am getting ready to move across the state.

  we bought a home there, and have taken a couple of loads over, with the main move being this next week.

  i went over this last week cause i wanted to paint the kitchen and dining room before we moved in (a lot easier to do without grandkids and dogs under foot).. anyway... here i am painting away when there is a knock on the door.

  Afraid to say Desert Rat . . .

  Concentrating the line of attack on the "publishing company" would have set the apostate alarm off . . . and yes, the short and accurrate description of disfellowshipping would have clinched it . . . you rabid apostate you!

  But hey . . . they've got the GB breathing fire at apostates through the WT at the moment . . . they're all on "high apostate alert" . . . you're directness may well have the greatest chance of success.

  Still thinking of moving somewhere more stable?

  Definitely . . . thank you for asking. It's not easy to get people who are already full of uncertainty to be certain about anything. It'll need a few more family summit meetings . . . so I'm still uncertain LOL
