their average score was 8.19 out of 10. they were followed closely by jehovah's witnesses, pentecostals, seventh day adventists and baptists.
interesting that catholics scored 6.34.. this article brought back memories for me as a newly married jw.

Astounding . . . I'm not sure even the current GB policy would require that sort of reaction. WTS propaganda gets some people believing they're getting an infusion of demon-juice or something to make them so emotional.
No doubt if she died anyway it would be the Dr's fault . . . and the family's experience would make a good WT article. The fact she survived doesn't prove the need for the transfusion as far as JW's are concerned . . . their literature is so one-sided, the family will be convinced she would have fared better without it anyway.
And the one who's life it actually is . . . get's no choice. Thanks to those who are entrusted with her care being insistent and courageous . . . she at least gets to fight another day.

You're right OZ . . . the writers of that book are so out of touch with the problems and the people they're trying to reach . . . all it can accomplish is distance them further . . . make them feel even more odd . . . make them feel even more worthless.
The dangers of dabbling in complex social and behavioral issues from a platform of ignorance . . . are equally inconsequential to them. I've seldom seen religious ignorance parading itself as arrogantly and dangerously as in this book. I would give it a wide berth if possible. I burn them on sight.

if we LOOK at it that way it is responding from former JW cult triggers. So THAT is the problem of BP the poster involved here - NOT the message Randy was getting across.
We don't have crystal balls down here flip (pun intended) . . . and you may well know Randy and his motives better then others.
But his post . . . on face value . . . seemed every bit as much a result of "JW cult triggers" as any reaction to it . . . such is the nature of differering viewpoints I guess.
Your reaction . . . though probably not intended . . . only reinforces the perception.
