Its a bit like trying to get your head around evolution....the time frame is so immense do we really grasp the concept? We have such a short time on this little blue spec we call earth. Can we really wrap our heads around the incredibly slow development and evoulution of life? . . . st

Perspective is a real problem for humans. When we cast our minds forward or back, we contract time. We do the same with distance. A mental limitation I guess. It is a definite hurdle in understanding the true nature of the things you mention, especially when considering very small increments or very large numbers. The anthropic principle is not fully grasped by most of us for this reason.

Isn't it possible that the universe is just ever changing energy?

It just seems to me that j-ho and the holy spirit should be able to find quote-worthy sources who were NOT Nazis. I mean, they're the ones directing the writing of this stuff, right?

Supporting "fringe" beliefs often calls for quoting "fringe" authorities. WTS often refrains from naming the source in the narrative for this reason. When citations are made the quote is frequently out of context . . . the list is long (and on-line). They fell in love with Fred Hoyle because of his "steady state" universe theory, which sat comfortably with their theology, a theory now as doubtful as the paradise earth. They are happy to list scientific qualifications to some sources, but neglect to point out they are "creation scientists" who's views are dismissed by 98% of scientists . . . and have been booted out of most of the Universities they attended.

“Prove to me that you love me!” The scientific method is not the means to give such an answer, is it?

Actually there are many and varied ways to test for emotional responses and untruthfulness. While a "suitor" may not respond to the question by participating in a scientific experiment . . . your analogy suggests that it is not "testable" . . . which is completely wrong.

Too often, many of us have this same smug attitude that we forget to leave behind with the other false doctrine at the Kingdom Halls.

Can you prove that? . . . using the scientific method? . . . or at all?

There are many things that neither science nor religion can tell us.

While that statement is basically true . . . it is also very clever.

I AM THINKING OF BECOMING A CULT LEADER- ANY SUGGESTION?

i am quite impressed at the power the gb wields globally and it prompted in me the strong desire to start my own religious cult.

i wouldnt any hurt anyone though, my goal is just to experience the privilege that power and authority gives and in the process grow financial empire.. i am presently putting down some strategies down in paper and i have been watching many videos on youtube and accessing cult-related materials, learning from cult leaders arround the world and observing their modus operandi.

please if you do have any suggestion, freely offer it, i will appreciate it so much.. .

Was I the most fanatic Witness or can you beat this??

at 18 after the quick build at our hall i gave up on a career {except window/toilet cleaning} and became a rabid pioneer/servant who, get this...made a plastic sleeve necklace so i could put my blood card in it!!!

i had one in my wallet and one hanging on my neck.. can anyone beat that?

fast forward to 2001 when fractions became a "conscience matter..." i remember shaking my head during that watchtower study...i destroyed my blood cards and asked my doctor to put me down as "no religion.

The first time I found myself alone at the mid-week group as a reg pioneer . . . I went H2H on my own, on the assigned territory, for the whole morning. Besides me, only Jahoover knew.

It's among my most depressing memories.
