People may not remember us in the distant future, but our presence in the world will always be recorded. In small and sometimes big ways our presence will change the future. It's up to us individually how we make that future change.

How long are people remembered?
by joelbear in.
unless you are famous for something how long are you really remembered?.
maybe you are remembered at most by your grandchildren, but then your presence in the universe is gone.. so, really, what difference does it make whether you die in your 40's or your 70's, your memory simply lingers another 30 years at most.

Jesus is God
by SwedishChef inhere is a large collection of verses which prove the deity of christ:.
isaiah 6-7 6. for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called wonderful, counseller, the mighty god, the everlasting father, the prince of peace.
7. of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of david, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.

If you can believe the whole Bible, what makes you think any of it is right? The Bible describes people like you who have become a "law on themselves". You pick and choose what you want to believe.
What parts were authorized as being inspired? Didn't the Catholic Church decide this? Were they inspired to decide that?

Many passages of the Bible I and some others referred to state clearly and undeniably that Jesus is God. Jesus says "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father." (John 14:9)
I see it now! Jesus is obviously the Father!

Computers as smart as humans
by Satanus inibm has a contract w the govt to build computers that are about equal to the computing power of the human brain.
with the right software, they say, these computers could mimic humans.

Hmmmm... I've thought of this before and like all technology can see good and bad in it. But it will happen. We won't compete with computers though, we will integrate with them. Here goes:
We are already replacing biological parts with mechanical or electronic ones. Artificial hearts, knees, ears, and even eyes soon, etc. The last one to go will probably be the brain. It's frightening and intriguing at the same time -- your mind is what defines you as a person.
First there will be interfaces into the brain -- they already have a monkey that could control a device through electrodes in it's brain. Imagine playing games or unlocking your door with a thought. Reverse that, and make information available to the brain. Let's say you need all the formulas for a physics test tomorrow. Viola! You have them in a chip. With some sort of neural network you can eventually enhance your own memory and brain power. Basic education will be a thing of the past when you already know everything.
With the ability to transfer consciousness, we will be at threshold of virtual immortality.

The claw marks tho may take some time to heal.
So will the detached cat limbs.
Erm, what does it mean when your mother gives you lots of enemas?
Francois, it means you have one sick momma.
Xena, I want to have a bad day with you...

I was about 1 when my mom and dad started studying. I never baptized! Around 23, began my descent outward thanks to discussion boards and then slowly exited over the next 2 years.
