  im on this site reading and putting my comments in when a knock on the door just now..speak of the devil!

  two brothers at the door right now.....ok im back...i opened the door in my boxers and let them see my new tattoo on my stomach..i hoped they liked my shorts..they are spiderman boxers...i just told them im busy preaching the word of god on a jw forum...they looked at me very strange and walked away just now...lol..hahahhahahahahaa

  many millions who have lived in centuries past and who were not jehovah's witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life.

  many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before god's time of judgment, and they will gain salvation.

  how has the internet changed your life?.

  ok, i guess if you left the org because of the internet, that is quite a big change.. but what about all the other changes, as to shopping, banking and so on.. what about the fact, you now have not just a photo album, but copies of all your friends photographs as well.. not to mention web cams, which i'm thinking of setting up.. isn't it a revolution in it's own right?, or would you describe it as just a part of the information revolution.

  WT 2003 CDROM - User agreement!

  just borrowed a wtcd from a friend................ i carn't believe a "non" profit organisation can do this or rather put restrictions on the the coping of the wt cdrom.

  isn't there literature distributed free?

  then why is make the copying of the wt library for the benefit of declaring the "truth" wrong!

  They are protecting themselves from someone taking the CDROM, copying portions onto the internet with certain parts changed. Or at least that's how I see it. Look how scared they are of Apostates. I firmly believe that they believe that Apostates would take the material on the CDROM and change it for their own benefit before posting it on the net.

  im not convinced as quite a few people here have pointed out the same material is widely available in magazine and book format.
  The CD is only a format for presenation and carries the same information which has been distibuted world wide in book and magazine format , new and reprints of articles etc etc. it is strange that Truth is should be restricted to JW's on there say so .yes they pay for it all..but isnt it suppsoe to be done for the mankind?

  I mean you would think that if the CD were copied and given out freely in the USSR ,any christian would be overjoyedthat it was being spread .....since when was the good news copyrightable.?

  As for altering text you can get copies of articles form the JW web site and alter them or simply copy from magazines and books.

  The thing thats unique about the CD is its a collected work of the WTS mind. it allowes anyone to use search facility of there teachings of Truth ,even older stuff if you got the older CD's .

  this is not good for the WTS

  .JW's have already been assimilated and to except WT explantions with out questioning WTS Gods truth before they get to cover big amounts of info like this by the time they get to study big time info that include some of the mistakes and altered teachings and unpleasentries of 1914 etc ...its to late they will be past questioning.

  A CD of WTS teachings to free thinking outsiders might be a hazzard for the door to door work.I think the WTS would not want outsiders studying "Truth" with out being told how to interperate it the history and mistakes and change in doctrine new light.

  years a go i used peak at big brother with some sisters we all felt a tiny bit guilty but did it anyway cause it was fun and the objectors were always older people who thought that watching tv soaps was a sin.. anyway i was watching this year and just wanted to say .now i watch with out condeming or slating the individuals i feel for the first time in years im feeling empathy with and for poeple i would previously have looked down my nose at.. im actually able to look at them and say .thats who jesus came for not for ..not christians who are to good to eat with them and speak about these falible humans as dirt.. i can dislike what the bb contestants do or say and it not be about how they are to disgusting to understand about the truth.

  or how they are knowingly siding with satan.

  now there just people try to live thier lives making mistakes like the rest fo us ,messing up or trying to be true to themselves etc.

  Why Have Memorial if...

  no one partakes of it?

  out of the many memorials i have been to, i only recall 1 when a bethelite came to give our talk and he was of the anointed and partook of the emblems.

  but anyway i've read a post on here and heard about a person in my local area that partook of the emblems and their "anointed" status was questioned.

  Doesn't anyone find it strange that the ONLY event dubs are allowed to celebrate is an event in which no one celebrates anything? I've been to funerals which are more upbeat than any memorial I ever attended.

  maybe funerals should be banned as the person(dead person) concerned is being the center of attention and bringing undue attention to him/herself just as a person having a birthday does

  how can you defend a user agreement that prevents public viewing of a CD version of information which you actually want the public to know about and which you distribute in magazine format ? it is insanity.... i hope a judge would think so to.

  i was given a CD as a member of the public when is started studying.

  would love to see a court case on this

  theres quite a lot to choose from at amazon i was wondering if any one would mind telling me which books you would recommend. ive bought books in the past and not been disappointed so could really use some pointers to the books out there.plus i think JW's have been writing afew reviews on some books at amazon and it makes it very hard to tell whats what.

  and i dont want but a book writen by or a person from the other religious organizations.

  do you think the books are worth reading or are they the same as the info on various sites about the WTS? like free minds etc.

  do you think its worth buying the books or just as good to stick to the web sites?
