  excuse me if this has been discussed before but i've been meaning to ask.

  why is the word you or your always capitalized in the nwt?

  ) of the quotes i've seen always capitalize the words but i've never seen another bible do this.

  yes i knew about how we got the name jehovah,. read a bit and visitied a few sites on hebrew and ancient hebrew .they also said ,like you, that the first part of the name is preserved in Hallelujah.also the addition of j for Y etc

  it is strange that JA/YA is preserved yet they change it to an E and still cant find and explaination as to why they have done that.since they claim its nothin o do with elohiym or adoni

  this is a bit of an expansion on the above thread.... if memory serves (which is questionable), it seems that i read or heard that if a witness had employment which made them privy to files at work and if they saw something in the files that may be evidence of "wrong doing" that they were obligated to report the information to the elders.

  for example, if a dub worked at a video store and saw that another witness had been renting r rated movies or (gasp) porn, the elders needed to know this.

  or maybe a witness worked at a hospital and had access to medical files, the elders would need to know if anyone had been treated for vd, had a forbidden blood treatment, or if a sister had an abortion.

  Leviticus 5:1: on;ly shows that if there is a victim that is suffering for some injustice and you are a witness to that in justice that you come forward.in other words if you witnessed it you may be party to the crime or an onlooker who can prove a person innocent ,this takes care of victims of crime and possible witness who can prove someones innocence or guilt.
  its got nothing to do with spying on ppl whose private medical buissness THAT YOU ARE NOT A WITNESS TO and which you gave you word when you took the job not to do. so whats your word worth? wouldnt you be proving to the world you are untrustworthy and will tell lies from the day you are employed. what happend to thou shalt not bare false witness when you sign up for the job?because you must know before you sign the confidentialy agreement that you will tell if you see somthing on a JW

  i hope hospitals are aware that they cannot trust the word of a jehovahs witness empoyee

  to here bro's and sis's talk about how very one knws they are the most trust worthy employees.

  the article makes sure memebers know they are expected to tell yet words it so they cant be
  accused of anything in court.

  do lawyers write the WT & wakes nowaday?
  what does a lawyer make of this? are there any lawyers here?

  so if a JW works in book shop they can monitor the books yo buy and report any Raymond Franz books being ordered by jw's .......ugh this makes me sick

  amazing how education corupts but the WTS benifits from the corupted.

  yawn, bore, blah.................come on guys, jw's are getting pretty dusty here, where's the zest on this board ?

  tell your relatives, friends, etc: hey, you were part of the u.n., the watchtower bible & tract society owned a majority of stock in a jw company that had military contracts, the organization that you represent was false prophesying that the world was going to end in the 1800s through the 1900s, and when you can prove to me otherwise, than maybe i'll talk to you.

  these guys are just going along with the program because they've gone along this far and they don't know what else to do with their lives because all of their acquaintances are part of this organization and their lives are almost up.............................to turn completely against this organization would be declaring defeat of their very lives.

  noooo but thats differant..but how did any of us join anyway? its slow and gentle like a good pick pocket stealing your ability to think as an individual.i know it can't be right ,but that need for certainty and someone else doing all your thinking for you for years make you mentally weaker ,harder to get out and stay out i think.I cant imagine how hard and painfull that must be if your whole family are in .

  posters and leaflets is great if they are not attacking

  whats happening here !!!

  youve got all entusiastic.

  i feel i can not do anything..im keeping my mouth shut just so i can keep my friends ,a few of which still keep contact.maybe the truth is that in side im still afriad ithat might be standing against god himself.even though ive done the research enough to leave!!! and even after reading wintsons smiths letter to the WTS (which was a brillaint letter )

  theres this fear still lurks inside DAMMIT.
