I know the Rev scripture and the psalms. OK so there will be a new heavens and new earth and the meek will inherit the earth. Where is everyone going to be while the new earth is in the making? I'm wondering if perhaps after you are resurrected to heaven the new earth will be made and then that is where you will live. I'm just trying to sort it out. I was doing some bible research and I started looking up all the scriptures that the WT used to back up their claim that we will be resurrected to the earth and only 144,000 to heaven. I read everything I could find but maybe I missed something. I can find anything that refers to an earthly resurrection. HelP! I've been a witness for 15 years.

Hey YoYo, how can you say the UN thing is not a big deal. If you or I were signed up with the UN to get a library card we would have been df'd. I guess it's no big deal when people went to jail rather than do alternative service during the past wars because if they did they would have been df'd, but now they can do alternative service and be in good standing. How do you think the poor sucker feels that went to jail and was beat up or raped!!!. Not a big deal. Do you suppose they reinstate the people that got df'd for doing alt service or anything else they change their mind on. Do they go back and see who was df'd for something that is now OK because of NEW LIGHT!!
The WT is full of it with their response to the UN thing the rules never changed and they never needed to sign on to have access to the library card. Do the research. Unfortunately it's true. Just remember who the Father of the Lie is.....it's not Jehovah!

What purpose do the 'Annointed' serve?
by LDH inhave you ever wondered what the annointed do the other 364 days, when they're not partaking of the manischewitz?
(or whatever the hell that cheap ass wine is called).. aren't they supposed to be rulers in heaven with jesus?.
why aren't they getting any practice on earth?.

Can someone tell me why only the annointed partake of the emblems? This has always bothered me. I've read all the scriptures. I still don't see where it says only the annointed should partake.
In fact, it bothered me so much that recently I went to an Episcopal church (I was Episcopal before I became a witness), and took Holy Communion because I felt the need to demonstrate my beleif in Jesus and his dying for us. I went to the Episc church because I know every Sunday they have Holy Communion. It felt kind of odd because I've been a witness for quite some time, but I do feel good about having part in the Holy Communion. Of course no one knows because I would be DF.

I'm an active JW. I don't believe everything they teach, I have some issues with several major doctrines. If they knew I would probably be disfellowshipped. The only reason I don't leave is because of my kids, it would really effect their lives and until I know they would be ok. Let's face it I have some good friends that I'm not ready to relinquish yet. I will just play the game.
I don't distribute literature when I go door to door I just encourage bible reading. I can't distribute their false teaching.

I'm a mom and I'll be your surrogate mom if your mom doesn't love you. Nothing you've done can be that bad. Jesus died for YOU and you've already been forgiven all you have to do is accept him as your personal savior and then start living your life to the best of your ability as he set the example for us. Your not going to be perfect only he could do that, just do the best you can.

I haven't left yet but i'm on my way out. i have to stay a little while i have two kids and it will affect them to much with their friends.
Why leave? It's not the TRUTH. They've got some things right but some things wrong. It is not Jehovah's directed organization. If it were they would have their prophecies right in the first place and wouldn't have to change them, (he never changes). There are a lot of good people in the organization but there are a lot of good people in other churches too. Find where you feel comfortable, accept his son Jesus Christ as your saviour and live your life accordingly.
I've been wondering why it is that people that get out feel such an animosity towards it when they leave. I think maybe the answer to that is they claim to be the only ones who have the truth and everyone else is going to die. They say they have the only direct channel to Jehovah and when you beleive that you found it for so long and then realize you've been dupped it pisses you off and that is where the animosity comes from. And it's not like you can just leave, NO they have to destroy all your friendships that you've made over the years and you have to start over.
All I can say is research research research! READ YOUR BIBLE (Get a different version than the New World Translation) compare, You can understand the bible w/o the Watchtower and their books though they don't want you to believe that. And lastly Pray about it.

the foretold recession is also reckoned to miss britain, a growth of 2 - 3% holding up the economy.. a recent survey shows that the british now spend almost 21% of their income on leisure activities, whereas the rest of europe manage an average of about 12%.. is this a good time to be british?
maybe so, if recession hammers into the us and japan it could well be the best country in the world to live in once more.. englishman.. bring on the dancing girls!

It is very interesting this whold European unity thing. Has anyone read any of Hal Lindsay's books. He talks about The united Europe as being part of bible prophecy. I'm not saying I agree with him totaly but he does have some interesting ideas.

So, if Jesus began his rule in 1914 and he has a millenial reign (1000 years) than he has already used up 87 years, what a waste! Or am I messed up or confused. I am a witness and don't understand it. So like is there a different rule other than the 1000 year reign. His rule in heaven and then a different rule over the earth. Please show me some scriptures to explain this.

Depression is a way of life for JW's

i don't want to do anything anymore, i mean what is the sense: the end of days is upon us!
the more i became involved with witnesses, the more i felt that i was loosing a part of myself.

You know I always wondered if anyone else noticed this. I remember about 3 years ago when, I was talking to one of the sisters and we were listing all of the people who were on antidepressants and or anti-anxiety medications. Then it was like the next sunday meeting The opening song for the meeting was "Be Joyful" I just started cracking up. I actually had to get up and go in the bathroom because I could not stop laughing. I told my husband later because my kids and him wanted to know why I was laughing so hard. We all had a good laugh.
I do think the incidence is higher with people in the truth. And it is because there are so many extra demands on you and you never feel like you can do enough.
I am still a witness but I don't know for how long.
