  Thanksgiving/Christmas is a time for giving. If you don't have any family or friends, I am sure you can go to the local homeless shelter there are children and families who would be so thankful for you thoughtfulness and a gift. The bright smile on a childs face would do miracles to cheer you up.

  i am 21 and i remember just 4 years ago going to college was looked at as something negative.

  girls my age, we had plans to be ft pioneers and become secretaries.

  I'm not buying it! That people left the Witnesses and became Christians.

  i tried it, could not swallow all the lies and misinformation they had.

  i am sorry, but even if you deny the whole witness faith, there is still parts to christianity that they pointed out that you can not just ignore and act like it is okay to join another faith that is christian.

  are you going to become catholic when your know their history?

  I use to be a Jehovah's Witness, and so I thought a Christian. When I realized that the two really were not compatible. I left one. I am still a Christian. I love Jesus. He loves me, no matter how many mistakes I've made. I go to a non-denominational church on occasion. I would probably go more often if my family went with me. I don't think there is an attendance sheet kept by Jesus. He knows what is in my heart.

  my daughter is 17 and she has had a few boyfriends in the past short term.

  my family keeps asking her why she doesn't have a boyfriend.

I don't have a problem with that. She feels as if they are insinuating that she is a "dyke" because she doesn't. She is offended. I've assured her that she is fine. I'm glad she doesn't feel the need for a relationship. She has girl/guy friends and would just rather hang out with them. What do you guys think.

  assemlbly time passing tricks

  as a kid ,you could almost certainly kill time at an dc ,sad{as richie rich put it},or a the "2 day assembly" in many various ways.. this has probably been done before,but here we go.. 1--watch the audience as a whole,they almost lookm like ants or something,because thier was always people moving around.peole figiting,taking vigorous notes,people getting up and down for a walk,or a bathroom break,attendants barking at the teens to sit down.i used to find pleasur in watching everyon fidget as a group.. 2--watch the peole who where doing sign language for the deaf.i would always try to start matching words for signs.another way a 10 year old mind can wander.. 3--locate all friends of yours,chicks you have a bad witness boy crush on,obsess for a few hours,and how you can stalk the hot girls.. 4--what too eat{pre modern era}you know,lemon lime or cola shasta,apple or cheese danish,vanilla or chocalte swiss miss,hoagie or dri chicken w/mayo packet?????????

  5---count each minute out in my head.there was a huge digital clock at the providence civic center.when the clock changed,i would try to count 60 seconds to an exact point the clock would change again.clock manipulation,a huge witness kid skill.you could will the cloock to move,or so you thought.. 6---think about what flavor slush i wanted at break,and wether i would buy the cheap binoculars,or the mini -fan.those toys would occupy my brain for hours.. 7---wait with baited breath for the drama.when those lights went down,,,,,,,,,,,sheer ecxtasy!!

  The last 5 years or so we had our convention in Bakersfield. There was a coffee shop across the street and they made really good latte's. I would walk across the street and come back with a latte or two. My husband would say I was setting a bad example for the kids. The last couple of years I would get lost walking to the coffee shop. I was pretty wired one in the morning, one in the afternoon. I should have taken orders for those sitting around me.

  My kids and several people at work loved it. My daughter made me sit down and watch it. She told me now mom your going to have to drop a hundred IQ points before you watch it, then you'll think it it funny. I tried to like it. I hated it and you'd have to tie me up to watch it again. I don't think I laughed I might of gotten a slight chuckle once or twice. Definitely a waste of a couple perfectly good hours.

  My dad wants to put my name on his Blood card

  My dad called me up yeterday to ask if he could put me on his blood card. This is bizarre. He just recently moved here and doesn't know very many people. I was puzzeled. I thought you only put witnesses on that. I guess you need two names on it and he only knows one other person at his hall. I think he just wanted to know how I feel. I told him if something happened to him I would back him up even though I don't believe in it. I know that is what he wants. I'm wondering though if push came to shove would I. He is almost 82. It is probably a mute point.

  Had the book study (Daniel book) tonight.

  man, i had to read at the book study tonight (which is still at my house btw).. this was the first of the real "meat" of the daniel book (spam more like it, actually).. anyways, for those of you that don't know i am trying to get up the nerve to explain to my wife what i have been learning.

  How funny that you still have book study at your house. I was in the same position when I was finding out the real truth. I was soooooo releived when the brothers decided to move it out of my house. I worked full-time and my husband being a truck driver was not always home in time for meetings. My kids were teenagers so they had to make sure the house was in order sometimes I would come in late from work (I would volunteen to stay late because I didn't want to sit through the crap. I'd show up 20 mins late. The brothers came to me and said obviously it is a hardship for you to have bookstudy with your work load and stuff so we decided to move it to so and so's. It too a good 6 months for them to do it.

  This is a good question? I also have pondered this. I believe there will be a second coming. I also believe in the Rapture. It is not my place to judge who will and will not be raptured. I believe it will be all those who believe in Jesus Christ and are saved by him. The last part is where JW's may fall short. First they don't believe that Jesus is Lord they believe he is Jehovahs son and that he came to die for us. The bible teaches Jesus is Lord and is God in man's form. He came here to try to convince us how much he loves us and ultimately died for us. They believe in Jesus but really don't worship him and therefore I fear they will not be raptured. Theay also do not accept Jesus into their life and ask him to save them. They worship Jehovah. I feel bad for them because there are some really wonderful, devout people in the BORG and they are being mislead. But when all the Christians are Raptured and they are left behind they will have the chance to turn to him during the Great Tribulation, which they look forward to anyway. I'm personally glad I'm going to be up in heaven I don't really want to experience that and when I was a witness I always said that I hoped I died before it came because I didn't want to be here on earth when it happened.
