  Convention Weekend

  everybody in my area (jw's) is at the convention this weekend...and i'm not.

  i didn't realize how really great i would feel when this weekend came.

  i'm not sitting in a crowded coliseum, on uncomfortable chairs, sweating in my nylons, creating new blisters on my feet, juggling note books and bibles and wishing all the people around me would disappear.

  I had a wonderful weekend until my mother came home from the assembly completely batshit. That being said, there is nothing I miss about assemblies except for the new clothes.

  Tonight I disassociated myself - after 24 years - had 2 hour meeting with Elder

  my fault (i dislike the word "fault", but don't have a better one right now).. it feels strange, relieved and free, at the same time it was all very strange.

  i kept it short, a two sentence paragraph.

  i also feel i've been given some very sound advice and have decided to keep it for a few days and just make sure i'm not making a rash/emotional decision.. thanks to everyone of you on this site.

  District Assembly has my mom complete brainwashed again. Look like I'm in trouble.

  well, my worst fears have com to fruition.

  too emotionally exhausted for details but she came home last night from her assembly.

  the night ended with her in tears, telling me i'm going to die.

  I lived 18 years away from this insanity. I can't keep pacifying them by not saying too much. I'm done. My mother wailing and crying the night she got home from the assembly made me lose it, especially when she told me I was going to die. Great! Thanks mom!!! And I guess my poor father who faded years ago is now something of a burden to her. She loves him, will be a good wife and care for him, but........He's as good as dead too. Nice!
